Try joining an athletic club of sorts - lots of my friends have recently met lots of people by joining a kickball league!
Just moved here from nova and in my late 20’s. Let me know if you have any questions, happy to help!
Will doo!! Thank you 🤗
Hi! I’m 33 and just moved to Charlotte. I’m a part of a bunch of Meetup’s that are great! I love Charlotte. Feel free to DM me with questions.
What do you do for fun? There’s tons of ways to meet ppl

There are so many transplants here it’s very easy to meet new friends! I came to Charlotte from upstate NY at 18 not knowing a sole and have very happily been here for 16 years 😊
Following because I just got to Charlotte as a late 20’s woman and want to know too!
DM Me! I’m 29 and moved here about 2 years ago. My best rec is if you have a dog, take it places 😅 people are so friendly
I’d suggest work with a trainer. Charlotte is PACKED with dogs and your quality of life will greatly improve if you can take her places! Mine is 7 and is off leash reactive instead of on surprisingly 💕 best of luck!!!
Hi! Great age to move to Charlotte. Check out neighborhoods north of Fairview Rd — good areas with lots of young single professionals and walkable restaurants/parks include Southend, Montford/Park Rd area, Dilworth, NoDa, Plaza Midwood.
So best advice I can suggest is joining the Facebook groups. There’s one called “Charlotte Queens in their 20s” or something like that. And then there’s also one on IG called CLT Social and they do events and such as well. Also Bumble BFF. It’s definitely not easy because I’m in a very similar boat. But I have been actively trying to put myself out there and I haven’t come up with a better way yet
There are so many groups and clubs around Charlotte. I attended events by Offline and CLT Social Club when I first moved to Charlotte. Follow them on instagram, and open up the portal!
Meetup is a great platform to find groups of people with similar interests in your area. You can join groups related to sports, hobbies, books, movies, or anything that you like. My personal favorite though is going to events and festivals.
I used Bumble’s friend side of the app and I actually am still friends with the two girls I met off it almost 2 years ago!
Run/walk clubs, fitness classes, go out w work ppl, bumble bff, apartment pools
Meetup.com typically has a fair amount of social events.
My husband and I made that move a year to date and it’s been great! Feel free to DM me, but there’s so many young professional/social groups available. Happy to help!
👋👋👋
Considering to move to CLT too!! Single female just turned 30 ☺️ planning to visit family and friends there around Memorial Day weekend.. if you’re gonna be around, let’s connect 🤗
I wonder how expensive is Virginia. I am conservative and do not know if Virginia is good for me any thoughts.?
Ok thank you for comments.
Thanks all! Incredibly useful info and helps make the move seem less daunting. Any social kickball leagues? Was a big fan of those in the DMV.
Go kickball has leagues all around Charlotte. There’s also a group called Charlotte girls who walk which is primarily women in their 20s-30s who just go on scheduled walks in/around the city to meet new people, just went on one this past weekend and there were nearly 40 other girls who were mostly new to the city and looking to make friends 🙂
Connect with any old friends from high school and college that may live in the area.
