Parking in the office is not a reimbursable expense under current US tax law.

Then maybe I misread your comments I’m saying 1) client entertainment is 100% disallowed 2) if a company “pays for an employees parking” then the only way that will be deductible to the company is if the amount “paid for” is included in the employees wages. (Hence why I says you’re coming about 25% [tax] out of pocket for it) Are we in agreement?

Did you pay for parking before to get to work?

I didn’t go into the office on Fridays after travel, unless I needed to, partly because I’d have to pay.

Work from home is the new normal

Companies could simply increase salaries in a booming industry when everyone is short handed 🤷🏻‍♂️

How about having offices in the suburbs (like many clients do) where parking can be free and plentiful, rather than in crowded city centers where rent is expensive and you have to deal with awful traffic to get to the office, and pay an arm and a leg to park?
