Definitely not bragging or showing off …

Hello everyone! I recently pivoted from working in advertising to working at an early-stage fintech startup. I'm looking to speak with business finance leaders who manage corporate cash and credit lines for their companies to learn more about your tools and your approach to cash management. I'll buy you lunch/coffee for your time.
If interested shoot me an email me at kathryn@crescent.app! And thank you!!

I’ve done both enterprise and MM - from $4m ACV SaaS deals to 300k.
I think enterprise is much, much easier all things considered (if you know the market and product well).
More mature buyers, strategic decision-making, well thought out strategy.
MM you have immature buyers and need to actually “sell” much more, while competing more frequently on dollars than on value.
Yes, Higher complexity requiring more consultative approach. Coupled with many additional stakeholders which require approval including PROCUREMENT which you rarely see in MM. This all results in 12+ month sales cycles vs MM of <6 mo.
How long are you in sales and specifically in mm sales? I've been through the journey starting as mid market sales rep and promoted to enterprise sales rep. In my first 2 years of mm, I've learned a lot about managing complex sales cycles. It's basically where I learned how to project manage internally and externally to ensure the team was on message with the solution we solved. Tbh, I had difficulties with managing executive but I used my executives to align with them so I could focus on the director/ VP level where I was good at.
In general, it took me the same amount of time and effort to close deals at mm as in enterprise but at enterprise you have the responsibility to either close more 'mid sized' deals or close a minimum of 2 bigger enterprise deals ($400k + ARR) simply because your target goes often x2.
If you're comfortable selling on enterprise level, just talk to an enterprise rep from your business and ask for the differences and what it takes to get there. You pretty soon find out there is not too big of a difference. It might give you more confidence to apply elsewhere because that's where you really learn what is required

I’m in enterprise SaaS sales and yes I’d say it’s more difficult. Sales cycles are typically even more complex and drawn out vs MM motion.
