My firm has indicated that the return to office may be impacted, but has not changed any plans as of now. We recently had an incident of vaccinated employees who had been in the office testing positive.

I work at a pharma company, and they'd have to drag me out and lock the doors.

Lol why?

We had a “return to office” date set for right after Labor Day and it was recently cancelled with no new date given.

People are generally vaccinated in NYC. So the chances there are much lower than in other places.

like

LA’s vaccination rates are similar to those of NYC. There’s still no concrete evidence about long covid for those infected with COVID and vaccinated.

Are they legit ?
Should i proceed with them ?

Looking for some advice on a career change. I work in a technical role and have well-developed soft skills. I want to transition to UX (w/ focus on accessibility). There are a lot of UX educational programs out there, some very new, e.g. Dribbble, and costs are all over the place - General Assembly is $15k (and full-time), CareerFoundry almost $8k, and then many others at a fraction of the price. Reviews also vary wildly. Are these more expensive programs worth the huge increase in cost?

Asking for wife who's also in banking. If she got ~$100k in signing bonus in 2019 for 1 year commitment in CA and started FT in July 2020, assuming she leaves before July 2021, can her employer claw back full amount in California? Some say it's much tougher to do so under CA law but wonder if anyone has any insights. Banks won't likely care about analyst signing bonuses, but associate bonus at EB with diversity bonus can be significant. If she quits before, she won't be going to another bank.

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners.
