My old manager got a job at my new company and is not telling my old company that she accepted for weeks (I haven't told anyone) but in a catch up with someone there at my old company they told me that she's MIA for hours at a time and hasn't really been doing work. I didn't apply for a job that would have set me up for the future in the government. I wouldn't have to worry about money or future jobs. My boss had just given me a small pay rise and talked up the future and so I felt good. I now severely regret not applying for the job and cannot stop thinking about it to the point of insomnia and depression. I even contacted the employer but too late. It's a small town and rarely anything comes up. I hate myself and feel like I failed my family. :(

I miss music. Like actual bands with instruments and vocal ability. Feels like the music industry is so hollowed out that multi-member instrumental bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and even Metallica are no longer able to take root.

There are a few talented individual singers (Adele) a lot of awful mumble rappers, but no actual bands that will stand the test of time. Before I get called a Boomer, the problems with the music industry for new artists are well documented.

Hi all. I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 2 and it’s been hard to heal with the ups and downs of a very competitive sales position in the current market. Before taking FMLA for 12 weeks I was a top performer. Any advice from those that also live with bipolar disorder, or advice on a potentially a less stressful position to ease out of sales? I have 7 years healthcare sales and 1.5 years as a MLO.

My LinkedIn feed was absolutely filled with layoffs today. What happened? A month or two ago it was a candidate’s market and the offers were great but now everything has shifted. I was informed that I am not getting a promotion that I was gunning for, and when I pushed back about being fairly compensated for my work the response about it not being a good time to ask was really ominous. Anyone else feeling bummed?
