I have been reading a few articles talking about how FAANG isn’t as lavish as it used to be. My first question is if that is true? If it is true, my second question is what companies out there have the pay, benefits, and perks like FAANG? My last question is if it is as difficult to get into those companies? I have been working in the construction industry for 2 years under a general contractor. I am wanting to get into consulting and my ideal role would be something like an Associate in Major Projects Advisory with KPMG. I’m curious to know which firms/companies have positions and departments like the one mentioned that I could apply for?

I have two years of automotive/aerospace manufacturing experience and am looking for new opportunities. I recently applied to a Solution Engineer - Commercial Manufacturing, Automotive, Energy (MAE) role at Salesforce, and it sounds like a great fit. Is anyone willing to offer me a referral or advice on how to move forward in the hiring process? Salesforce
Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

It's very similar for me, and I suspect many of us - esp in the SaaS industry. Honestly, I don't think my partner 'needs' to know everything, just enough to understand when I want to rant about coworkers lol
Same here, she works in a low stress industry role so she doesn’t understand (or really she just doesn’t care about) the world of sacrificing for customers or doing services in general so it’s a point of tension when I have to move around our plans or tentative trips etc… she hates the “well I honestly don’t know if I’ll be free that week” the most lol.
Overall it just boils down to setting boundaries but as we all know sometimes those lines need to be blurred
Unfortunately she has realized that a low stress in industry career equals a low pay with long/limited promotion cycles… good thing she has a stressed out nerd who panders to customers!😂
Because a good demo is more than just a show. It’s the perfect little package that lets the customer know that “we respect your time and understand what you need from us to succeed. Here’s exactly how this will work for you if you spend millions of dollars with us and feel great about it”
It’s a lot like when she wants to go out to eat. When you ask what she would like, she says, “I don’t know”.
That process of figuring out what she wants to eat, you do that, but for software companies.
She’ll understand the stress, long nights and good pay then.
