Grow up! Just like you didn't have time to hang out with them because you had other priorities, they probably are preoccupied with something else
Going against the general opinion here...but I think it was crappy they forgot. I know how big taking that exam is and when I went MIA to study for it my friends understood. I also got good luck texts from them on the day of the exam. I understand we are all busy with our lives, but we should all try to remember important things for our friends.
Yeah I would. It doesn't mean the end of your friendship with them, but you said you remembered and texted them about their things. I'd approach it over drinks or something casual. "Hey do remember that really big test I was studying for? I did great! It was really important to me and my future career and I wish you could have acknowledged that." Their reaction will tell you all you need to know about your friendship.
I think you are reading too much into it. Go grab drinks with them. And then bring it up casually to let them know that you were expecting at least a good luck text. Then forget it and move on :)
Maybe they don't know or don't care about what cissp is?
I think is a little inconsiderate given that it was important to me and took away a lot of my time. It is reasonable for me to say something to them? Do I just let it go?
They knew I was taking the exam and how long I studied for it but if they didn't know a quick google search would help.. lol. Besides that I always make sure to say good luck when it comes time for big exams or boards etc which is why this is bothering me.
Agreed EY2. So true!
I also think you're reading too much into it. Everyone is busy. Make an effort to reconnect for all the time you missed spending with them while preparing for the exam.
How was it?
Another completely unrelated question, are you Indian?
@AC1, no I'm not Indian. Why does that matter? Also we stayed in contact via texting every now and then so I wasn't MIA.
@EY2, would you address it or just let it go?
You gave up your friends for the cissp...give me a break. Learn work-life balance.
Smh.....god damn rookies
@SC1 you're clearly a needy friend. No need to talk to your friends every single day solely because you think you won't be as close after not talking for a few weeks due to other obligations.
