If you have an offer to switch but with 2023 start, and you are in a toxic work environment, is there anything you can do to minimize risk of being PIP’ed or fired before new start date? Quitting early would probably raise red flags with new firm. Assume $ isn’t a huge prob
Hello all, I’m planning for a career switch. As I’m currently in Finance sector and planning to quit my job and to start my career in IT Hardware companies like: HP, Dell and Lenovo etc.. Before taking this jump I want to know how is the career growth in IT Hardware, how is the promotion structure in such companies. I personally don’t like my present job as it doesn’t relate any part of my interest.
Been working remote since the beginning of the pandemic. Back in the office in January and trying to finalize childcare. Recruiters connecting with me for new job opportunities. Scared to even consider a shift out of my current company where I may have some flexibility bc I've been there for so long, but they're dragging their feet with giving me a well deserved raise. So unsure what to do. Shift now, or cont to negotiate $ at current job or hit the road and let the childcare figure itself out.
Hello! I’m a PO contractor with UST in the US. Wanted to know from any others what their compensation packages are and if you’ve been there for long, have you managed to get a raise?
Has anyone in this group ever used a career coach? I am currently working as a medical billing manager but I have a very diverse background. I am 52 years old and I am currently working at the lowest point in my career, it was difficult to make my way back after taking 15 years off to raise my children.
I have been offered P3 level in LTI , how long will it take to get promoted to P4 ?
How many years experience is required for P4.
Hike percentage for P3 to P4 promotion ?
What is job security and stability in Cyber security consulting practice in EY . One of my friend got offer with 50% raise to what he is currently taking, he is on H1-B , he just want to be on safe side before making move. Appreciate your quick response.
Just put in my resignation because I got an offer with a 50% raise, my manager said she had no ill-will or anything.
I log on this morning to a scathing review of a report I wrote, nitpicking every minor detail with senior management copied...
Thank God I'm moving on.
Hi, my local Youth Football Team is hosting a Popcorn Fundraiser to raise money for Cheer and Football Team here in Texas. If you love Double Goodie Popcorn can you please support. 👉
Hello! I’m up for a promotion and obviously am going to bring up $$. What is an appropriate amount to ask up for when you’re promoted to the next level? 15%?
Tips on negotiating a raise! I’m no where near the timeframe for one(only been there just over 90 days), just want to be prepared for when that meeting comes up at the one year mark 😅
Used to have a career with a. Union, this was never a concern till now LOL
Any Monitor Deloitte people in here based out of Southeast Asia? What is the avg. salary raise (base + performance bonus) should I expect from 1st year Consultant to 2nd year C? Current performance scatterplot is at highest top right, utilization rate 90%. Thanks!
Finding out the range for Pharmacy Techs is $19 -$28. Been lowballed like hell. Not sure how to even negotiate for more. And this 1% yearly raise doesn't keep up with cost of living.
@CHA Cambridge Health Alliance.
Currently a senior 3 at EY and hope to get promoted to manager next year by October. Is it better to move over to BCG after promotion as a project leader? Or would that not be a lateral move as a EY manager?
For those in corporate environments, what are the salary differences between director, VP, and SVP roles for comms, corporate comms, or PR? I’m a director and will be proposing a promotion/title change and salary. I’m in health care. Thank you.
New offer from current company to move to a new team and they’re like it’s some big promotion. Current role is key accounts + a territory, 125k base + 31k and 19k additional bonus opportunities (which I’ve been hitting consistently). New role is a pay grade jump technically and just key accounts and supporting another team for some other big accounts. Pay is 158k + 27k bonus. Total comp difference is only 3% raise. I got a 6% raise in the same role last year alone. What would you negotiate?
So I love my coworkers and my boss, and I don’t want them to think I’m unhappy but I do need a raise. Is it off putting for me to go to them and say I got another offer? I just feel like it’s a little awkward for them to know I’ve been going on other interviews
Hi everyone, I’m an architectural designer (from Europe) with 1.5 yrs experience. I’m working for a practice in San Francisco, full-time from the office, getting 25 an hour. It is so expensive to live here, I am struggling to make things work. Is this a normal salary for someone of my experience or should I ask for a raise? I don’t want to be greedy but it’s so expensive out here… Thank you 🌈
I got laid off but within two two weeks I was able to get 4 offers (and a raise). If anyone here is going through it and needs contacts, interviewing tips, just someone to talk to plz reach out 🙏 NYC area fyi

Hello Everyone, I have to make a change in my career. I work in property management and don’t like it at all. I want to get into health/wellness, event planning, anything regarding food , and/or childcare.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or know someone who can?
A Instagram influencer I follow is certified no medical degree to do veneers? And is making 200k now. Is this a thing, without being a dentist? How can she get equipment?
How can this bowl be useful to folks?

I’d love to figure out how to make this bowl engaging
Not so much for work but looking for a decent duffel bag for traveling, something for bulkier clothing like ski trips (not boots and shit) or that has capacity for longer trips. Was looking at something like Filson, any other recs appreciated
What post-MBA careers is Yale good for? Is it weird to go there for a tech career after?
I was scooting around some podcasts and found a podcast addressing “ageism” in hiring! Im just wondering is this a thing? In the podcast the author stated some hiring managers won’t hire under 25 or over 60. Thoughts on this.
What do y’all respond with when family and friends ask what you do for work?? I usually say “I help the sales team sell software” but that sounds super lame 🤔
How do you “work hard?” What and who do you see as a hard worker and their characteristics. I’m being intentionally vague but I want to know y’all’s thoughts.
Does your company’s Proprietary Information and Inventions Assignment Agreement for new employees require them to list all of their prior inventions? If so, does legal review what they write down? I’ve seen some vague listings, but I’m not sure if it’s worth my time inquiring since risk of dispute over prior inventions is generally low and the scope can be disputed in the future anyway.
I am engaged to a girl 3 months ago..But i feel I am gay and always like and dream about boys.
Still we have 2 months left for marriage...and today I came out to my brothers and told that I dont want to marry and convey the same to my mom and dad.
I am from very conservative family and have hell lot of relatives who need such topics to ruin the reputation..
Is it the right decision that I took? or should I just go ahead with marriage and just take whatever comes thereafter?

I’m currently an ultrasound technologist with a bachelors in health science. I really want to advance in my career but I know ultrasound doesn’t have many offers. I though about becoming a radiology director and getting my masters in healthcare management. Thoughts ?

If I have multiple interviews back to back, does it matter if I say lots of the same things? Should I avoid it? I want to highlight my strengths so I think I might end up saying the same things over and over
Is anyone active here? If yes, can anyone tell is there onsite opportunities in hexaware and what are the reviews of the company.

Hi there. Interested to know if Mirren is a resource you all use. Curious about it but it’s expensive. Any input is appreciated
Quick poll: if you are presenting case studies in a one on one setting or over coffee or lunch do you use printed deck or use an iPad? Or laptop? Thanks!
Fishies, I am hiring a partner in crime to help me introduce PETERMAYER to the national stage. This isn't your typical biz dev role - it's designed to be a hybrid/cross-discipline role for someone who wants to use their full creative, strategic brain and most definitely NOT stay in their lane. Know anyone that sounds like that, send them my way! (Agency is full-time flex/hybrid, but a desire to be NOLA-based is strongly preferred; however remote may be negotiable.)
Ok I know some folks are heading back to the office. But for many we are still WFH. So question: how are you dressing for zooms? How has it changed over the last year if at all?
Do you have specific New Years resolutions that relate to biz dev? Would love to see them. Im going to post something of value on linked in each week in an effort to grow my familiarity with folks in my network. For context we are a small production shop with very little in the way of a social media presence.
I've been starting to work more in new biz at my agency and the president said in a meeting this afternoon that he wants to increase our close rate to "at least 50%" once we're at the pitch stage.
Is there a going rate if you bring in new business (and aren’t on the new business team)? What if it’s per project and not retainer?
Does anyone have tips for getting prospective clients to state a budget? I'm not trying to milk anyone...I just hate wasting my time scoping projects they can't afford.
Thinking about trying to change into a career in new biz dev. What is the earnings potential of top new biz dev people in the US? For example “Head Of” or CMO level at well known agencies?
I’ve had bad experiences with New Business hired in the past. As in, nothing happened over 6-12 month periods bad. My agency (independent national player with Fortune 500 clients) is asking me to help search for a dedicated resource to business development. What should I be looking for and what should the agency’s expectations be? Thank you!
Does anyone know where to source an updated list of search consultants. My 4A’s list is terribly outdated.
Hi all! First : shout out to the folks who sold the super bowl clients! Question for all. What tools are you using for biz dev? For finding clients specifically. We are a video production house so our needs may be different but we want to grow direct to client work as well. I know of winmo, agency access and agency source. Any other online tools you are using? Thanks!
