What's the best way to handle holiday presents, bonuses, and all that in terms of what should you actually gift and how should you frame it? I'd love to give our employees actual gifts!

I celebrate Christmas so I give folks Christmas gifts. I don’t think there’s an issue with giving gifts that are borne out of genuine affection or friendship regardless of whether the recipient shares your religious views.

If you know what your team members like then sure. If not, you may get a gift that’s not gonna be used.

I have received sugarwish products from my employer for the holidays and was so impressed by the quality and taste that I ordered them individually for my friends and family. They have other trinkets too. A bit on the pricey side but I found it worth it and so did my friends and family.

For a company-wide holiday gift, a bonus check is appreciated by everyone. For unit-level or department-wide, individual gifts from a manager to their team is a good way to tell them they are truly appreciated and recognized.

Amerisourcebergen doesn't care about its employees. We have no mental health awareness. Leadership only promotes people who kiss ass the most qho have no managerial experience and pass people who actually have experience in a manager role. Leadership never helps you with anything. Love how BS credit score is. Got my score up to 800 last month only to go on vacation so my credit utilization went up to 8% due to the increased spending and my score dropped 35 points because I didn’t immediately pay the balance after charging the purchases. I always pay my balance in full each month and have never missed a payment, how is 8% credit utilization determined to be that big of a risk that my score got immediately wrecked, I don’t understand

Partners - Do you ever take vacations?

I have been at my current firm for about 1.5 years, and in that entire time the partner in my group hasn't been out of the office a single time. Is that normal? I can't tell if it's standard for big law partners to not take time off, if the dynamics for my group may be different (only 1 partner in the entire group), or it the partner I work with is just a masochist.

Question on compensation for a small co with a huge independent contractor workforce that is looking at big expansion into Europe. Reports to the general counsel. 1 other lawyer. Bonus 10-18%. Last year was 15%. No 401k for highly comped employees. I asked if they would be open to having me set up a safe harbor 401 k and they said yes in the future but it won’t be part of this offer. 16 pto days. They moved from 205 to 210 but that 230 is not possible even tho posted salary range was up to 233k

What are some examples where you feel included at your organization?

I find myself in workshops and meetings, groups of 15-20 people, and I’m always the only woman. In my entire department, there are no other women. I’m getting to the point where I’m feeling defeated and burnt out. I’ve been working in male-dominated environments my entire career (over 10 years) and I’m losing motivation. Any tips or words of advice to get out of my mental rut?

I'm in desperate need of tips to get genuine buy in from our predominantly white, male senior leadership to create a more inclusive environment. As is often the case, middle management and below is very diverse and then at Director+ it gets much more homogeneous. So far any real initiatives get shot down in favor of performative actions to post on SM. Is this just how it is, or can we try something different?

Working on introducing ERGs at a company- how did your company decide the first ERGs to start with? How did they communicate the start of ERGs and roll out the structure?
