I know partners have talked about helping folks land outside, but have seldom seen it.

Of course it’s a risk, curious as to thoughts of PPMDs.

I have a follow up meeting with a Partner from Guidehouse- in case compensation comes up what salary range should I say I'm looking for? For context- I have a little over two years of experience on various Federal Government IT projects and the interview is for a Consultant level role.

Had an interview with EY last Friday. During the interview, the SM mentioned that if the interviewers (SM and M in my case) were still unsure about giving offer, we would do another interview with the partner. Today I was told that I’d have a call with partner next week. So not sure if this is a good or bad sign 🥲 The recruiter said that the interview would be “conversational” so it seems slightly less formal. Has anyone had similar experience?

interviewing with kpmg, i thought i’d have one manager, director, then a partner interview. but i’ve got another director interview. kinda nervous now, since i gave a good performance on my last interview and was just hoping to finish off with my partner interview. Coming from non consulting role, so any tips on my interviews would be appreciated as would any jokes and non-serious answers.

My partner smokes weed and if he gets this role he interviewed for he will need to get drug tested. He’s a daily smoker so I’m nervous he will end up failing the test even if he stopped smoking last week. Do those expensive detox toxins work ?

Six years at B4 now. I don't have the fire in me I used to have for my career. Really wanted to make a partner one day but that aspiration has almost disappeared. I now look for a way to slack, do bare minimum only when it's absolutely necessary and have zero desire to do anything above and beyond. Have been interviewing outside of public for a while without success. How do I get my fire back? I miss that feeling.

So I have a final round Panel Interview scheduled for tomorrow with a partner at EY. But I just received an automated email 10min ago saying the position has been closed or filled. So do I still have an interview tomorrow/should I email the recruiter?

I feel totally blindsided by the interview I just had. I talked informally with Partner 1 before the interview and was told the position would be in one of the firm’s satellite offices. Then, during an interview with Partner 1 and Partner 2, Partner 2 mentioned that I’d have to move to the state where the firm is headquartered because he believes face-time is really important for training/mentoring. I have no plans to move and really hope this wasn’t all a huge waste of time.

How does the hiring process work? I interviewed with 4 people (manager, senior manager, partner, partner) who actually makes the decision of whether to hire me?

McK 🐠 - what are the differences between Round 1 (EM and associate partner interviewers) and Round 2 (partner interviewers). Recruiter assures me there is no difference with cases or structure of interviews but hearing mixed messages. Would appreciate any insight!

Hello all, I’m currently in the interview process with EY. I’ve already had my interviews and the next step would be an offer letter or rejection.

I reached out to the recruiter a week after my final interviews, and they responded saying this “I am awaiting next steps from the hiring partner at this point.”

Can someone expound on what that could mean? Is that a positive sign of receiving an offer?

Would you cancel an interview (for tomorrow afternoon) when a partner schedules a meeting at the same time?

Has anyone gotten an offer from big 4 after hiring screen and an interview w a partner? I feel like there are typically more rounds

Have EY last round (I believe) next week. Recruiter blocked out time from 11-11:45 but invite has 2 people (a partner and SM) on it. Should I assume 2 people are interviewing me at once and it’s not 2 separate interviews?

Looking for some advice.
I'm currently applying to roles at other companies as I want to expedite my move to the next level.
I'm not unhappy at my current company but I only want to stay if I get a promotion. Promotion would come into effect in March 2022 and so wouldn't want to wait that long if I can get another role quicker.
Has anyone got experience in speaking to a partner before handing in resignation to see if they will offer a promotion out of promotion cycle? Continued..

Hey! Have been interviewing for Partner at IBM - they came back with Associate Partner but at the lowest band of Partner comp. What should I do?

Had a really weird interview with RSM recently that’s been bothering me. For my last interview, I spoke to the partner. Towards the end of the interview, he asked me my salary range. I gave him my range based on my conversations with the recruiter and my understanding of the role. Shoutout to KPMG for the worst recruitment process. I get referred in July and two weeks later I’m told I’d get an interview, I wait almost two months and then reach out to the partner because I was really interested in the role, and finally set up an interview. It takes a month to schedule the phone screen and then I have the final rounds. I follow up because I have an outside offer and I get no response. Recruiters repeatedly missed interviews, and then random team members joined the interview

Is EY’s experienced hire team as awful to everyone else as they are to me? No response to emails, do not honour time slots for phone calls. I can go on and on. It is putting me off pursuing the opportunity even though the director and partner came across really well during the interview and I am super excited about the job.

I have an interview tomorrow for a real estate acquisition analyst role with the Managing Partner of a small real estate PE firm. Currently an A2 in audit and feeling a bit under-qualified. I have very little experience in RE modeling but don’t want to explicitly mention that during the interview (for obvious reasons).
