Final interview with a partner at KPMG next week. What should I expect during the interview and how many days till I hear back post interview?

Spoke to another B4 about an open role. Got the conversation through networking and mutual connections. After a few chats the Partner said HR will reach out to me. Anyone know if this means formal interviews are next or if they may extend an offer?

Shoulda ran out the door when the managing partner at my firm said people who ask about “work-life balance” in their interview were not considered for the job. (Sigh)

I recently interviewed for a position I was excited about. I like my job but this position seemed like a great fit. I met with five different individuals including a partner. Everyone was extremely nice. I received positive signaling and found out almost a week later that I didn’t receive the position. I have absolutely no idea why. Is it typical for companies to make you go through so many different interviews only to reject you?

shooting a series of videos for a spirits client, with creative centered around “talking head interviews” and mixologists creating a few cocktails. Will be internal sales team-facing as opposed to consumer/brand creative. wondering if anyone has recommendations for a solid production partner in the NYC/Brooklyn area for the shoot (and potentially edit) that could keep a 2-day shoot somewhere in the $40k range? I know, that number pains me as well...

I had the first round of an interview 10 days ago and it went well but I haven't heard anything since then.

The interviewer said I'd be a good fit and told me she would pass me/my resume on to the director/partner for rounds 2 and 3 but I haven't heard anything back yet.

Partner is graduating from a master’s program soon and is at the final round of interviews. She indicated in her application that she will need H1B sponsorship but it hasn’t come up in any interview. At this point, should she wait until she receives an offer to bring it up? How would you bring this up?

I’ve been with BCG for a while now and I’ve found the work not very much like the case interviews (less emphasis on MECE, Pyramid Principle, top-down etc.).

What are VC interview processes like? If a partner at a firm reaches out and schedules time for a ‘chat’ is that an interview? Is it the pre-interview? Feel like online VC resources aren’t as good as PE. TIA!

Had an interview with a TINY firm. Pretty much one partner and one associate(that i would replace as they are moving). Partner said PY they made 900k. He then says if you do 20% of the clients for 180k you tell me how much you want of that 180k. Okay so how do i say i want at least half of that when i have 1.5 years experience.... current associate said he made 40k year one and 50k year two...soemthing doesn’t add up???

I love my job and love my team, but can't deal with OT anymore. My team is short staffed (almost no one left in the staff/senior level), and as a result, I work from 7AM to 2AM and have no work life balance. Should I start interviewing for a job in industry? Or should I discuss what I am going through and how I feel about it with my partner/coach(RL)? My team is aware that I am working long hours but they keep bringing new projects. Got told by an MBB final partner interview that I came off too practiced and rehearsed.. granted he asked me questions that earlier interviewers asked and therefore I didn't have to really think too long .. But in an interview industry for MBB where they preach doing practice cases .. anyone have tips on how to not come off rehearsed (even though I can't think of what he saw in the interview)

I’m stressed about starting my new job. I’m at 2.5 YOE in consulting and wanted to leave because of salary. I’m going to join FB as a client solutions partner and they doubled my salary but the role isn’t what I want. I don’t want to do sales but strategy/product. Rising third year in big law here, trying to figure out what people use as a writing sample when applying to the government? I have drafted briefs but never without input and edits from partners (and it is always a partner or senior associate filing them). Any memos I have written would be privileged. But I also don’t really want to submit something I wrote in law school. Any advice?
