Has anyone networked around LinkedIn to get help? I’ve gone on Preplounge too with chargeable rates. Worth it? Any insights appreciated. Thanks.

Any MasterCard Advisors here? I’m a Senior Associate with 5+ yrs post-undergrad experience, and trying to learn if I’m being misplaced by interviewing for Associate Managing Consultant instead of Managing Consultant? If AMC is appropriate for my experience, is there a certain progression score I should aim for in negotiation?

Currently getting to later stages of PE interview process - have heard they become more behavioral later on, and with more senior folks. Any advice on how to approach this or what to expect? Is it foolish to think it’s hard to get dinged at the later stage behavioral portion? Really curious how many folks actually make it through the harder finance/case portions of the process and lose the offer at the very end. Would really appreciate any advice!!

Rising third year in big law here, trying to figure out what people use as a writing sample when applying to the government? I have drafted briefs but never without input and edits from partners (and it is always a partner or senior associate filing them). Any memos I have written would be privileged. But I also don’t really want to submit something I wrote in law school. Any advice?

If you interview with OW or Deloitte for a senior position, let’s say Sr Manager / Principal or Associate Partner, what does that process look like? Do you still have to go through the case grind or is it more about your client and team leadership and biz dev experience?

I have interviews with PwC and Deloitte. What are the upper levels at both companies... e.g. at Accenture it is Senior Mgr / Principal Director / MD.

Been trying for an exit to Product Management. Managed to get a call from Microsoft and do full interview loop for Senior PM. Got rejection with a note that they are looking for someone more senior. It’s kind of disappointing given how difficult it was to get interviews in the first place. What resources are available for consultants to network and land PM roles successfully?

Should I delay joining Deloitte or join in sept?Interviewed for Deloitte in March and accepted an offer for June start date. Bcoz of pandemic the joining was pushed back to Nov/Dec.But last month HR reached out asking if I’m okay joining 2 months earlier(although no concrete projects are decided for me yet)

Has anyone had the experience of applying to a job that has a minimum YOE that is a few years BELOW your YOE? Does this not make any sense to do, or is there a chance they might hire you into a more senior role, or at least pay you a salary commensurate with your YOE?

Currently a PM and I have an interview for Principal PM in my dream country. What is the difference in responsibilities between Senior PM and Principal PM? I think I am not ready for Principal PM role. How do I negotiate a lower position (Senior PM) in my first round with recruiter? Really want this to work out

Thoughts on FP&A? I’m currently a senior tax accountant and got asked to the last round of interviews for a senior FP&A position (narrowed down to 2 people). I feel like I’ll get it as I have friends at this company in accounting who put in recommendations for me. Only thing holding me back is I made manager this week and overall like the flexibility of PA, hate busy season though.

I found out this week that I’m getting promoted to tax manager this fall. I had applied for a senior FP&A role at an insurance industry and now they asked me to the final round of interviews. How to change my voice to sound more professional. When I interview with Senior men it seems as though they aren’t taking me seriously. For example, in a recent interview one of my interviewers was like “Ok! I have a tough question for you sweety.” (It wasn’t even a tough question!😒 Felt like a joke)I was moved on to the next round but I have 3 YOE and would like to be taken more seriously. I’ve always been told I have a high/enthusiastic voice/cadence.

Interviewing for senior audit role at a small tech company, interviewed with 7 people so far. Recruiter ghosts me for 1 month and now she wants me to do more interviews. During the 1 month of ghosting I applied for an internal transfer at EY and have interview next week. If I get the transfer, I’d rather stay at EY - should I decline or accept the tech company’s 8th interview?

What questions do you typically ask interviewers when interviewing for senior manager equivalent roles? All the tech companies have 6-7 rounds, I run out of good questions to ask.

First Senior Data Analyst interview coming up.. what should I expect?

Had a verbal offer with EY in late March, right before hiring freeze. Recruiter was responsive to check-ins up until early June, saying I was on the list to reach out to once things start moving. She’s been ghosting me over the past few months.

So, I got an offer for TikTok. Context: I was interviewing for a senior partnerships team, but they decided to offer a role on a lower tiered team exclusive due to ‘not having enough years of experience’. The team I interviewed for is a similar team to what I’m doing at google. The cash part of the offer is easily a 40% bump. With all that’s happening, what would you do?

My undergrad was in CS at a private school and I’ve had no Cyber experience before big4 cyber work. Lately I’ve been finding the security program strategy/transformation work to be repetitive & boring and interested in getting back to more technical work like appsec. Currently a Senior Manager with 10 YOE. 167k TC. Thoughts/advice?

Do I have a decent chance at H/S/MIT/Haas? What can I do to improve my chance? (applying next year)

How do you approach asking senior managers/directors/partners about writing recommendation letters? I'm applying to law school in the fall and I need some.

For what it's worth I'm a second year staff at a mid-size firm, have had good reviews the entire time/known as a high-performer in my office, and I've worked directly with everybody I'm planning on asking. However, none of them know that I'm planning on applying.
