Talking to a recruiter for a Lead Knowledge Analyst role. Any insight on base salary? TIA!

Is it common to take a pay cut to transition to fp&a role in industry? Currently an audit staff 2 and all 3 financial analyst offers I’ve received are below my current compensation.

I am considering two offers at the moment. One is with KPMG as an entry level tax Business Analyst and the other is with New York Life as a Representative in the Service department. I am highly interested in the role with KPMG and the opportunity for advancement there is but the pay is very very low. New York Life offered me 10k more so I am leaning on accepting their offer. Guess I am just looking for some insight or career guidance, any help is appreciated.

I just got a call about a position at KPMG to be a Creative Writer that is part of advisory in a new “creative pod.” They say it’s cross functional, a part of consulting, and client facing, but it’s labeled as a creative writer? Not sure if this is a job I should take because on paper it looks like a demotion. Anyone have more insights into this role? Does anyone know why it’s labeled as “creative writer” and not just an analyst since its cross-functional?

Hello, I have a final interview for a company on Wednesday. The position is for a programmer analyst. They mentioned I would have to take a logical test when I arrive. Has anyone had experience with this? Is this a basic logical test or a specific programming logical test? Thank you.

Currently a senior accountant at a small company doing the monthly close financial process. Got two offers, one as a senior cost accountant and one as a senior financial analyst. Both similar comp and at great companies that have 10,000 or more employees. I’ve been wanting to get experience in both cost accounting and financial analysis.

Is it possible to negotiate your consulting level when joining a firm post MBA? I did ~2.5 years consulting (analyst > sr analyst) then left right before I got promoted to associate. Left to a Chief of Staff role (1 yr) then did strategy & Ops at the same company (1.5 years). Getting my MBA beginning fall 2023 and thinking of doing consulting again after I graduate but I think I would be coming in at the level I was before I left which is off putting for me.

What salary expectations should I have for an Analyst role at Accenture w/ 1 YOE and living in a MCOL city?

Just made manager at a big 4 with experience in IT audit, Internal Audit, and SOX mainly. Considering leaving as I’ve started feeling more and more burnt out. But I have no idea what my options are. Hey guys need help evaluating two offers: offer A: technical product manager, TC 110k. Offer B: product analyst, TC 140k. Offer A offers better work exp and I want to do PM work, offer B pays more and has the potential to internal transfer to a PM role within a year, but it’s obviously not guaranteed. Can I pivot into a Senior Analyst Position with 2 years of auditing and 1 year of advisory experience?

Working in public accounting as a associate and a recruiter reached out on a position as a analyst. I normally ignore them, but this time I asked about the pay.

They said they were looking to do about 80K, which would be a nearly 20K jump for me. Should I consider this move or stay in public? I keep hearing that public has the best growth long term so my fear is that switching to industry early will negatively impact my career.

I want to switch now, but I am confused b/w Business Analyst and Automation tester role, which role would be better for me to switch? Also regarding salary which is a high paying role among the two?
