How can you get promoted faster at Big 4 companies? (will be going into an analyst position)

Hi all I have an interview at Duff & Phelps for a valuation analyst position. Background: KPMG valuation associate. I networked with people and they told me duff pays 80k base and 8k signing + performance bonus. How difficult are their interviews?

I am currently working as a Customer Service and Operations Analyst at NatWest. I work under the Retail Banking division of the bank and under that Concerns & Queries. I cumulatively have 14 months of experience working in this role. But the thing is I am very much leaned towards finance and want to pursue a career in finance in the longer term. I can not afford a MBA right now.

My question is how can I get a role at starting level in finance? Would certifications help me get one?

I currently work as a FP&A/M&A analyst for a nonprofit and was wondering what would be good exit opportunities for me. I am very experienced in excel and analytically pretty sound. But I think I want a job with less analytics and more conceptual based work.

Would it be a good decision to move from Cognizant Consulting to Mindtree for a Business Analyst role?

I just finished my onboarding/training for my first job out of college (22), and I start my first real day of work on a BizOps team Monday. I imagine I’ll be doing some onboarding for that too, but any advice for someone just starting out in an analyst role? I want to make a good impression and learn a lot.

How do some of the Big 4/ACN levels compare to job roles and titles at Amazon? I’m a manager within the Accenture Security practice with strong focus on security compliance and risk. Trying to see which Amazon non titles would be equivalent to or above my Accenture role. If someone has a career path (analyst, senior analyst, mgr, sr mgr, etc) that would be helpful.

I got offer from Slack for Business System analyst role Pune India and TC - 24 LPA including Bonus , Perks and RSU.

Currently this month our deal got closed and all our Slack RSU got converted to CRM RSU. I know @salesforce is very stingy in giving RSU at our level and the vesting cycle is for 4 year, What would happen once our slacks converted Salesforce rsu gets vested after 4 years?

Hello, to the Fishbowl Community! Been a financial analyst at a big bank for about 8 months now. Currently in a middle market position analyzing companies and underwriting credit memos, etc. that kind of work. Career trajectory looks like FA>Credit analyst>Portfolio Manager/relationship manager, then senior leadership. Looking to move from commercial banking side of things and explore a role in Investment banking in a couple years. Anyone in here done something similar? Is it feasible? Tips?

Trying to get out of appraisal/valuation consulting. Just had 1st round phone interview with a smallish (international) real estate private equity firm for a Portfolio Management Analyst position. Previous roles were Senior Consultant at a sub-Big 4 accounting/consulting firm. Base pay is $10K higher with 20-30% bonuses. Is this a good move?
