Why are biglaw firms moving to open office concepts? I mean, I know why, rent savings, but is it such as a drastic savings? I haven’t talked to a single associate who wants it. Many partners still insist on having an office too which must put the partnerships in an awkward position. It just seems like a decision made by people too high up (senior management committee) to remember what it’s like to actually be doing the work day to day.
