What should a coder/biller/transcriptionist make with over 15 years of experience? I am currently the only person in the office that can do those jobs with no backup. I code and bill all office visits for 5 orthopedic providers and all surgical coding/billing for 3 surgeons. I also do any transcription that is needed.

Insurance Defense: Do your paralegals bill on your behalf? Or do they have their own billables? Reason I ask is because I would like to start billing more discovery (Drafting / Reviewing/ etc). Currently my paralegal bills almost all of the discovery (save for depositions). Wondering how I approach my boss and tell him something is off here.

Hi All, just sharing what on mind to vent it out from my system. Maybe with this I could gain some insights and inspiration.
I have been working as a data scientist since 2018 & have been the bread winner. I have neither been under a proper mentor nor with a team of peers from my field to help me out. Does anyone have experience working for a ALSP? How does compensation work (pay and benefits)? Are you an employee or technically an IC? Do you have billable requirements like at a firm?
