Just wanted to say the brand I work for hired a 55+ yo Creative Director and I am STOKED. He is seasoned, smart, kind, and elevates voices, is just generous and classy af. This is refreshing as I’ve know one too many conceited and elbow-shoving CDs at agencies I worked at. He’s the highest ranking Creative without the inflated title too. So happy to see there’s a future for us (well at least brand side for now).

Currently I make a base of $63k/yr and $1k/mo in bonuses pre-tax. I manage a performance for a team of licensed insurance agents (service-based role in a direct business environment), maintain our business relationships, and support adhoc training needs. Is there anyone else in this type of role who is able to share how this compares to similar positions and your general location?

I was passed over for partner but will make of counsel at a V50 firm. I’ve put in the work to make partner, but the firm is making very few this year (less than 10). Am I wrong to feel disrespected?

I’m currently a compliance specialist, I work primarily with Secretary of State in all 50 states and I manage filing and formations of new companies, filing and tracking annual reports, filing amendments, withdrawals, and dissolutions. Are there any companies hiring for this type of work?

Just made a career pivot and accepted a job with Progressive in sales. I’ve heard more good things than bad about the company. I turned down Liberty and Allstate so I’m hoping I made the right choice. Curious if anyone works there can offer their opinion about what it’s like working for Progressive.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

Interviewed for a GS-15 (same agency but different office) and totally aced the interview with excellent answers. They know I’m a top performer with senior references. Trying to explain billable hrs to hubs. I billed 160 this month, which he said “is only 40 hr weeks” (true) - but how many hrs do you figure you “work” or are in the office to bill 150?

What the heck is going on at RFH???

Is there anyone in HR that can clarify this for me a little- Hawaii is a state that prohibits future employers from asking your salary. How does this apply to remote positions? Is it only based on the home state of the company? Or would it apply because I am applying from Hawaii?
