Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

Are there opportunities within your existing organization to pivot into strategy? I actually started in strategy, moved to media planning (didn’t like it) and returned to strategy. When I went from strat to media planning though, I expressed interest in pivoting at my agency and they gave me a shot at learning something new.
If that’s not an option, I found success in using my background in media to show how I could critically think through communication priorities (use the funnel) as a way to structure a communication plan even through I had 0 experience in it. Your knowledge of audiences, media funnel, and messaging are important in strategy so I’d recommend leveraging that! Not many strategists understand that fully so it’s a plus to have someone on the team with that thinking.
I think you can use your planning background to pivot to strategy like the above suggests! Honestly, you just have to start applying and see how it goes, and what kind of feedback you get. Try to find ways to excel in your role on that end, and then use that to redo your resume etc and apply
We have media roles in NY with interesting clients.
DM me if interested. Department leads are experienced and great!
