With current economy would be weighing which client seems more secure.
I think that the point of the employment section of a resume is to convey professional growth; title is only one piece of that. The questions for me would be “where will I learn more?” and almost equally important, “where will I earn more?” And, are the people you’d be working with ones you can emulate?
I’d say do the thing you’re stoked on, as long as the risk:reward ratio and comp:growth pieces are in balance.
Titles mean nothing. As my ole pappy says “You can call me anything you want as long as you call me to dinner.”
Ha! My grandfather said something similar. “You can call me anything you like, just don’t call me late for dinner”. Funny!!
Agree.. title is only a part of the package. You should lean into where you believe growth and opportunity exist. Project work isn’t all bad because you could be exposed to a variety of projects all to bolster your experience and resume.
Look at the full picture and consider where you believe you’ll get the most growth, opportunity and finger crossed the least amount of stress.
At thiss stage of your career, ALWAYS look for positions where you are working for the best supervisor/boss/executive. Don’t let a few dollars today sway your long-term growth.
Disagree slightly with the comments. Titles do mean something and make jumps from one place to the other more profitable. Money matters.
Never move for a job title. Move for better work, good people and pay/package.
