Quick qstn - I'm receiving HRA of 24075 from my employer but I would like dhow the rent paid as 96k p.a (while filing ITR). Even if I do so, I was only able to get exemption of 24075 from gross. Checking if we can speak to payroll department to increase Actual HRA since I'm actually paying more rent than compared. Will I be able to do so ?Deloitte Newco EY Accenture Genpact KPMG

As a straight white male, I err on the side of shutting my damn mouth.
I'm not sure that Donald Trump should be held as the apex of modern male thought.
Hey Starcom, you look fantastic! What have you been doing? Have you been hitting the gym or what? Whatever it is, keep it up - it's working! 😉👊
What context do you need? Why would someone's body be open for commentary?
@SR1 do you understand the difference between saying 'hey cute dress!' and 'hey your legs are sexy in those heels' ?
^seriously OP, 🙌. Like "nice haircut!" from anyone is cool, any comment insinuating you're trying to show off your body to coworkers is absolutely not.
As a gay male, I wish someone would tell me my legs looked sexy in those heels. Instead, I just get awkward looks.
Sorry you're feeling objectified. Poor wording choice on whoever's part. But I'm also guilty of being the sort of person to compliment anyone, even if it skirts the inappropriate. If a guy's been lifting or lost weight, I tell them they're looking fit. If a woman's looking good for whatever reason (you guys have a lot more variety in the ways you can look good), I tell them why. "Those pants do EVERYTHING for your legs."
I dunno. It's all about content and delivery.
Had a female friend who had a co-worker tell her he liked her boobs after he had too much to drink. She replied "awwww...yours are cute too." And no guy ever tried that again. Shut it down like a boss and I had tequila damn near shoot out my nose from laughing so hard.
It is.. And I get why it is. But on the flipside, I worked my a$$ off (literally) in the gym for months and lost a ton of weight and I know everybody notices but is too afraid to say anything and I really wouldn't hate it if someone at least said nice work or something 😕 (F)
Between DT telling the wife of a world leader what a nice body she has, and reading about a guidance counselor being harassed by her boss because 'her legs are distracting' .... apparently we should just take it as a compliment, or wear pants...
I don't really hear that kind of talk. Maybe it's the places I end up working, but unless there's a rapport that's previously established, we just don't say that kind of shit to women.
Now, when we find a female co-worker that's just as crass as us, it's on like donkey kong.
We have all been brainwashed to be way to PC all the time. Sometimes it's appropriate sometimes it's not, usually (most of time) no harm no foul. But I do think there is a time and a place and a way to say nice things, even if it's about someone's body, male to female and vice versa. Just be smart about people.
Tell me my hair looks nice-thanks. Tell me my boobs look nice-not so much
Call it out. Otherwise he wouldn't understand it's inappropriate.
Wait, girls say "I love your hair/dress/etc" to each other all the time. Why does that become a problem if a woman says it to a man or vice-versa?
Yeah no he definitely can't be held as the apex of modern male thought, he is only president after all... 😔
I call myself sexy all the time, and I feel bad for doing it.
@SAD1 Thanks!! Haha 😛
CD2 they really are great, but so is my hair
Ha I read that too quickly as "complimenting somebody's body of work in a meeting is 100% inappropriate" and was like, why?! What have I done?! Have I been fangirling too hard at Creatives 😂
