Not helped but pushed me to become what I am today. My grandfather is a veteran and had been in a battle once in his life. He was so proud of himself and he wanted his grandchildren to follow his footsteps. I was a teacher when he died and I promised him that I will be entering the navy.
My dad. I don't know if this is "later in life" but I joined the army at 26 during a difficult period in my life and my dad was a strong support system for me
Be willing to learn; Be ready to pick up new skills and adjust to a new way of life. Have an open mind, be prepared to ask questions, and be open to receiving comments. Old dogs can learn new tricks.
The military offers a range of resources and programs to support new recruits, including educational benefits, financial assistance, and counseling services. Make sure you take advantage of these resources as needed. Good luck!
