Hey all. I’m currently in a position where I’m interviewing for two roles at large tech companies (Anthropic and DoorDash). The role at Anthropic is not necessarily one that I see myself in long term, while the role at DoorDash is partnerships and strategy for a new product/segment they’re developing. My issue is I think Anthropic on my resume will help with my career in tech more, but the job at DoorDash is more in line with my goals. I really just need some advice as to which to prioritize.

Anyone have tips for industry interviews for a tax role, but with folks from cross functional teams (e.g., corporate development and legal)? What kind of questions should I expect?

Year 1: Should I be applying for analyst roles and studying for CFA if I know I don't want to stay in audit or work on getting my CPA and wait another busy season before I apply/request for transfer?

As a 20+ year lawyer with no big law experience (smaller and mid size firms plus government and in house experience), would a BigLaw firm even consider me? Perhaps an of counsel position? Even a senior associate?

I have been interviewing nonstop since I lost my job early September. Rejection after rejection burning through my savings. I picked up some freelance and reached out to a previous boss.

I am looking to get into Tech sales from healthcare sales. I have 16 years of experience. Any advice on companies to look at? Or will a Tech company expect me to come in at a lower level than Account Executive?

Looking for some advice on a couple of offers I have.

The first offer is for an Account Executive position at a smaller company with a base of $50k and another $20k in OTE.

The second offer is for a BDR position at a larger and faster growing company with a base of $60k and another $20k in OTE. Also some stock options but they aren’t public yet.

I have 2 YOE as a BDR and think I could succeed in either position. Both have hybrid work set ups. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! Thanks.

I know way too many tech people who work maybe an hour a day followed by errands and traveling. A lot of getting in these places is who you know, apparently that doesn’t work out like it used to. Trying to figure out if I should start as an inbound SDR, or try jumping straight into an AE role in SaaS.
