Question— do you share your comp with close friends? Me and my roommate have been friends forever and while I don’t really share my specific pay, Im not sure if I should share it with her. When she got promoted she told me her comp tho I didn’t ask. Today I found out I was promoted (🎉) and left that part out. She asked me if I knew what my raise would be and I just told her the % but not the actual amount. Is that unnecessarily secretive? We’re in diff industries too.
First time needing to edgarize a document (my practice is ECVC and have a client doing a Reg CF raise). Am I right in assuming that it’s just converting a Word doc or PDF doc into an SEC-specific format? Any recs on service providers? Would love a cloud-based self-serve tool and understanding of how pricing is supposed to work.
Got an offer for 130k at NTT data services. V confused because I make the same at EY. How’s the promotion and raise opportunities?
What would you say is the shortest acceptable (wouldn’t raise questions) tenure in tech?

Leaving Deloitte for a better consulting firm & a 50%+ raise. Thank you to D, if they didn’t pay me raises 1/10th the size of competitors, I would’ve never applied!
Negotiating tips at year-end review for getting an above-average raise? Or do numbers speak for themselves?
Went from wanting to only focus on my career and not even wanting kids to now wanting to be a SAHM while I raise kids and go back into a more relaxed job. Has anyone else had a crazy shift in thinking like that? Been single this whole time, so no one is influenting this
Deloitte Moms, I remember seeing in some other bowl that Deloitte gives 200 dollars gift card or vantage points for new moms. I am having trouble finding the information in DeloitteNet or TOD. Are we still getting it or was it a past promotion kind of thing? Appreciate any guidance on this.
Have you ever run into a situation where you asked for more money (either a raise or when negotiating an offer) and you got it and regretted it? What are the strings attached to more $?
First year level 9 (consultant) expecting to hear about pay raise this Wednesday (will be minimal) I am leaving the firm and new offer wants me to start on 11/26, should I ask to start 12/4 so I can..
Ever make sense to switch firms in non-promote years for an almost identical role? If so, under what conditions does it make sense: x% raise, title promotion, culture fit....what's your threshold?
My off-cycle promotion was announced today as it was getting deferred from last 2 year-end cycles. I was happy with the news and then I was told 3% raise. I am totally shocked and feel rather insulted at the number. Reason- I was already at upper range in the current title! (I know not too much context here) How should I talk to my manager? How much to express? Am I over reacting.
Have an approved i140 and getting a promotion from Mgr to Snr. Mgr. Does it require any filings or adjustments with USCIS?
What’s the biggest salary bump/raise you’ve had that didn’t involve a title change? Does such a thing even exist? 🙏🏼🤞🏼🙏🏼

Cold applied to McKinsey just for the hell of it. Got a call for a screening. Have no idea what to expect in the screen or overall interview process. Any tips/insights? (I’m now wishing I paid more attention to the MBB interview stuff in this app - I hear there’s a case? Haha 🤔)
I’ve got a great offer that aligns with exactly what I want to do, however it’s 100% remote and I’m fairly early in my career. Would this be a bad move?
Do you think agencies are hiring a larger percentage of freelancers to bypass their promises of improved parental leave, which are only available to full-time staff?
Recruiter wanted to call to discuss feedback from second round interviews. Likelihood it's good or bad news?
So bankers are getting Pelotons or even bonuses (10k for Moelis, 20k for citi analysts /associates) for too many work hours and the burnout feeling. Pretty sure most consultants feel the same way. Anything EY is considering doing to boost the WFH burnout morale. Can uncle Mitch buy us all a peloton to compete with industry standards
Q for folks who've worked at more than 1 big 4s. Which firm's culture did you like and why ? I like the people here but definitely need to switch for financial reasons. Serious replies only please.

I'd like to hear about good experiences and bad experiences people have had in this industry, where did you start, how did you grow from there, what licenses do you have, ect.

How many days after a missed period do you take a pregnancy test? I’m so irregular that I’ve missed 2-3 periods in a row earlier this year without taking one (and wasn’t pregnant).
