I am currently a corporate paralegal at a leading investment management company with 5 years experience in transactional law and an LLM in corporate and commercial law. I was a transactional attorney at a law firm outisde the US. I intend to take the bar here in the US and find my way into a law firm as a transactional attorney. I need advise on how to go about my transition into an attorney postion in a law firm and do you think I have a good chance?

My end all be all goal right now is to eventually run my own private wealth management firm.
My question is though: Should I try to go straight into private wealth out of college and become a private wealth associate, or take a different route, and start as a base level financial advisor to get some general advisement background?

Do companies sometimes offer "gifts of appreciation" if you're not selected for a merit increase? My manager randomly called me to let me know I was chosen for the "gift" this year bc of my "hard work & dedication", except now I'm learning other colleagues are receiving actual merits.

I have an asset purchase of a retail store transaction. Seller is keeping the second location. Seller is licensing the name from the buyer.
