HCL Technologies offer being delayed and recruiter keeps saying that there's a problem with their "Offer release portal system." I have already stated my issues with relocating until after I have the offer signed and ready. The project is supposed to start on the 19th and I'm supposed to join before, or on that date. It's already coming up soon and I don't have the official offer so that I can confidently start the relocation process. Has anyone else recently dealt with this?
I’m sick of living in NYC but can’t go anywhere.

May I ask how you highlighted your Call Center roles to get a CSM position? I have been trying to transition away from Call Centers towards CSM for a bit. 15 years experience in CS and 4 years in management and I have been denied for every single one.
Thank you so much for the info. Super helpful. Anything specific you highlighted on your resume to help you get the role?
THANK YOU. I didn't even know how badly I needed this encouragement and hope for better days! This job is definitely not really my cup of tea.
I start a CSR role in one week and I’ve never done it before. I’ve been in Sales & Marketing for 18 years and need to take a role because my savings is dwindling. I really hope this is a role I can pivot to quickly. I’m really good at helping people but I don’t know about the abuse the team can get from customers. Leery
Oh yes!!! It takes a special kind of person to stay in the field and I have a lot of respect for them. I'm so glad that I was able to escape too and I'm sending best wishes to everyone else looking to do the same. I hope everyone has a positive outcome like I did.
Being on the phones is killer and I applaud anyone who can do it. My depression worsened and I was having constant meltdowns and even PTSD from when the BING of a call would come in. I’d get sweaty and my stomach would hurt for a moment.
Glad to hear you are doing well. It's a difficult job for sure. I've been in it for 5 years and it has never been as bad as the last year. Terrible, unreasonable customers, understaffed, and corporate management who are obsessed with "productivity" which means I am doing double the work I was two years ago.
BTW, which company does only email or even only chat support? I am pretty good with writing responses but the phones are pure hell and I can’t find literally anywhere hiring that does not do calls… at least not anywhere that actually pays enough to be out of poverty.
