Hi guys ,
I am in a US project in Accenture. We have long calls in the night timings. My other teammate has backed out saying she won't attend any calls as she got some medical condition so she won't attend long calls which extend till 9:30.Other teammate is a junior. The managers are expecting me to join all the calls. No help I am getting. And they all being Tamil, I think some partiality is going on between them.Even our onsite lead is of no use.She expects me to attend long calls.
What should I do .pls suggest?

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I think you have nothing to worry about since they offered you the job. It could be the cultural differences you are feeling as I had a similar occurrence with my boss. I sent an email to a client and used the terms please and thank you in them but I was told my email had a rude tone to it (I'm from the north and my boss is from the south). I still have no clue how my email was rude bc I used please and thank you but I guess culturally different because I didn't start the email with good morning mr .... how is your day going. hope you are doing great. here is the contract that we discussed the other day.... instead I just said.... mr ..... attached you will find the contract we discussed the other day. can you please sign when you get a chance and send it back thank you
It was to the point that the case I signed up to see at noon didn't get seen until 3 or 4 pm because I kept getting handed cases to start - as if they thought I was slacking and not actively working on something. There are also times when I ask a question from an attending and am completely brushed off or get my head bit off because they didn't understand what exactly I was asking. For example, I had a mildly azotemic patient and I was trying to gauge if they should be hospitalized and the attending just looked at me and goes "... Possibly." Which is not a helpful answer. Am I being too sensitive? Do I just need to suck it up and get through the next 6 months? They've offered me a job at this ER
