I’ve been working part time for a solo attorney. We get along fine, but she’s extermely disorganized. There is also very little work so she calls me in only when she needs a hand, which is getting more and more erratic. I really need to find another part time position where I have a set schedule and something to do while I’m there. How do I gently tell her I can no longer work like this? I need a nice way of saying thank you and good bye.

I recently quit my job. My VP was a narcissist and never really looked out for my upward progression even though he said he was my sponsor. Whenever I would do a solid job, he would always down play it or give the mid-level mgr credit even though other people / management acknowledged it. But we still got along. When I gave my two week notice, I did not meet up or talk to him (I cancelled a good bye 1-on-1 b/c I was over it) - sent a short thank you email instead and ghosted. Was this justified?

I don’t sign into teams on Fridays and someone on my project acts like i’m unreachable when they can just text me or email me ugh.

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. What is the average paralegal salary in NC for a commercial real estate law office? I’ve been with a great firm for the last 9 years but am starting to wonder if I’m being compensated fairly. The company is about 30 employees (mostly attorneys) but I work primary for 4 of the attorneys.
