Need advice, fishies. What kinds of questions do you ask a potential boss to sniff out if they’re going to be toxic or not? Btw, I’m defining toxic as someone who gaslights, undermines, steals credit, makes snide jokes, gossips, throws their team under the bus, gatekeeps info you need 4 yr job…… I’m not talking about a situation where there’s just a lot of work/burnout. feel like these people can be so good at putting on an act and it can be hard to fish this out during just 1-2 conversations……

Get them to walk you through the agency and see how everyone reacts with (and to) them.

I've been asked what my management style is, you could ask that (and listen carefully to how they answer). Could also ask how they handle what happens when you're working late, etc. I was just interviewed and someone said late nights won't go unnoticed, as they'll either allow you to expense dinner or if you do a good job you might get a wellness benefit

I’m a young(ish) male running a private practice. Been with the group a year and a half and haven’t exactly gelled with some of the older employees. We’ve made tremendous financial improvements but in a meeting last night one of the physicians stated, in front of me, maybe we shouldn’t have hired a young guy to run the practice….I can’t think of a more passive aggressive way to ask someone to leave. I'm feeling a lot of anger towards my manager (now he's acting normal but there were moments where he was condescending/dismissive/mocked my and others work/arrogant/said stuff was "wrong" constantly/belittling the difficulty of tasks etc. in the past project).
Maybe it is "standard chewing out" but it bothered me a lot. So much that I find myself still getting all fired up inside thinking about it...

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? The IC gives vague “direction” then says they are too busy to clarify. They also refuse to use our project management/ collaboration tools.

PEOPLE DO MAKE MISTAKES!! but My manager reacts very rudely everytime with me, And all seniors who are with him around 10+ years will assign tickets to me and they monitor me continuously.

I never had any conflicts with anyone, but i felt that they all connered me. I had a call with my director and senior director and explained about this on my last day

I had IVF process to get pregnant. During pre- embryo transfer we were told that girl embryo is being transferred. Currently I am 18 week pregnant.
