Hi Everyone! I’m wondering if any consulting firms are actively hiring right now? I’ve decided I want to leave my current company in search of more opportunity. Particularly because it seems as though my promised promotion will be indefinitely cancelled due to COVID (@hiring freeze). Would appreciate advice / tips and if graciously offered, referrals!
Cold applied to McKinsey just for the hell of it. Got a call for a screening. Have no idea what to expect in the screen or overall interview process. Any tips/insights? (I’m now wishing I paid more attention to the MBB interview stuff in this app - I hear there’s a case? Haha 🤔)
Contacted by a FAANG recruiter for a super interesting role but I'm not currently searching / preparing for interviews. Ideas on how to buy time to prepare or do they expect to talk soon after getting in touch?
Anyone familiar with the airline reporting corporation? I know of someone with an interview there and trying to gauge what that may be like/what the company is like?
About to hit 1 YOE in my first job post grad and have a feeling raises/market adjustments won’t be sufficient due to Covid even though the firm seems to be meeting expectations in terms of the feedback we’ve received from management. Is it a good idea to start applying to different opportunities in case my raise/adjustment isn’t what I’m expecting at year end? Not sure how long the average job search could take...
Have an initial 15 minute phone interview with KPMG Any advice on what specifically to prepare? Advice on the rest of the interview process?
Anyone from Globant, Pune? Can you please share the hiring process/ duration for a Business Analyst role?
Strategy& interview this week for Tech Strategy. Any tips? Types of cases etc? Interviewer or interviewee led? Will I be asked about specific technologies?
I have an in-house interview coming up, for a job that will cover SEC regulatory investigations and inquiries. I have experience with that, but don't have a global view on trends and key areas. Can anyone recommend some reading for me to do, or free CLEs so I can prepare for the interview? Thanks!
I used to sleep 7 hrs a night, but lately I’ve been interviewing places which has raised my stress levels by a lot. Currently sleep 4-5 hrs a night. I got a good job offer but I still can’t get to the sleeping hours I was comfortable with. Has anyone else had this? Any advice?
Applying for a manager role in advisory at Grant Thornton in a HCOL, 10 YOE. What should total comp look like? Additionally, does Grant Thornton offer relocation bonuses? And if so, how much?
FDD exit ops?
LEK🐠, how different is our casework (pack creation / iteration, model approaches, expert interview formats) compared to MBB? If it’s fairly similar, I’d turn down the MBB offer I have to pivot into tech. If MBB gives a new consulting experience, I’d accept. Generalist path. TIA🙌🏼 L.E.K. Currently working in IT audit and exit ops are tough to find outside of audit (applying /interviewing for 6 months now…). At this point I’m considering a masters program in either cybersecurity or data science in order to make the jump to a new career path. Does anyone have experience taking this route? Would love to obtain some perspective or advice from someone who experienced a similar situation. Also, my degree is in accounting, but most professional experience is in cyber-focused audits.
Thoughts on a gig with optum within their Care transformation team? Any info as I just started interviewing! Optum
BCG or Bain 🐠 : Starting at MIT Sloan this Fall with no prior management consulting experience - just 1 year at Accenture analytics and 2.5 years in impact investing. Would you recommend I try to do my first summer internship at BCG/Bain or would it be ok if I do it in social impact and then apply for the full time consulting role after graduation?

found a $200 better hotel deal on SPGs app than through deloitte travel -- any chance there's a way to book through the app and expense it rather than book through deloitte travel?
Hi 🐠: need some perspective. Currently approaching the end of my notice period at the current firm having accepted a role. However been getting much better opportunities to interview at other firms now. Have 2 months before I join the new firm. (1) What are the implications of interviewing after leaving the current firm from a referencing standpoint point? (2) Do I make it clear in the interviews that I’ve already resigned from the current firm? Thoughts welcome. TIA 🙏
How much do partners really make at Big 4 and MBB. Let's say the first year being a partner ?
My firm recently removed the CPA requirement to make manager in FDD stating that it is following the market. Being a CPA is definitely better than not being one but will it hurt my exit opportunities if I decide to not pursue my license? Do companies outside of public accounting even care that much about having your license / are others seeing this same trend?
Hi 👋 wanted to know how much time is being currently taken in receiving h1b visa transfer approval when switching b/w companies?
I know my client needs an Accounting Manager. I know this because they’re startup med device company that has their books in complete shambles. The current accounting team isn’t very strong. How do I let the client know that I would be interested in joining them? They’re not actively recruiting for any position but I know they’d benefit from it. Serious responses only :)
Feeling sick from anxiety this morning. Knowing I have to leave today and tough week ahead looming
First real program leadership role - any tips?
hey all, i’m 3 years into my career. some decent work produced, some awards (mostly student). after getting laid off last fall and many many applications and emails sent, I’ve decided to spend time and money on a creative PR stunt to get my dream agencies’ attention. I’ve decided I don’t want to settle any longer, and I’m ready to make the jump to the elite. so people that have made it to their dream agencies: when did it happen for you, what made it happen, and was it everything you hoped for?
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad

Does anybody know if Accenture is sponsoring h1b with experience hire? I would just need an h1b transfer. Also, when do you usually reveal to the company that you need sponsorship if they did not ask?

Is a Sales Operations Analyst for a tech firm a good exit? Unsure of what that all entails but seeing a lot of job listings for that type of role
