To start you need to make a case for it, write down everything you do and how long it takes.
What would you like to do moving forward and what would you handle vs. the new hire. How would a new hire positively impact the team?
Basically you need to prove you’re doing two peoples worth of work and with a second person could do bigger, better, cooler things.
Ultimately it comes down to numbers for them, it is worth it to hire a second person.
I would just make a list of all the roles and responsibilities that are needed to maintain the community and how it's. not possible for you to do them all at your best capability
You have to make it make sense financially. Show them how it would yield more money or grow the brand
You should be straight forward. It's a good thing that community is growing. They should be happy to hear that
Just tell them they don't pay you enough.. just kidding.. don't say that. Try to find someone cheap so it doesn't seem like to big of an investment
You can look up on Upwork and find virtual assistant. Hiring a contractor will cost less than hiring someone full time
How about you ask for a raise? I think that's a much better option. You can tell him that your work is too much for you to handle alone.
Hiring a 2nd person? Or asking for a salary raise? What do you prefer? I'd choose a salary raise if I were you.
You tell him exactly this. He'll understand it. You can show him your daily task to convince him that you cannot handle everything on your own.
