I have a hot take on this specific point. I think self care is important, don't get me wrong. But in the modern world, where so much of what we do is focused on overthinking everything about our *selves* I have often found that people I work with get even more satisfaction from serving their communities in some capacity. Handing out meals at a shelter, volunteering with animals, getting involved in local refugee communities.. these are the kinds of things that help people de-stress and develop more optimistic worldviews.

This is a somewhat Western idea of self care. Selfcare has branded and turned into a commodity, yes. Alot of it is also based on appropriation. However, we should also be careful of giving back with a mindset of helping others only to help ourselves or to teach ourselves "it could be worse." That minimizes and trivializes the experiences of others unnecessarily and we do ourselves a disservice to ourselves as well. Not saying that's the intention here, but so often things can be twisted as others consume our words when it's left to interpretation.

my sister died this morning. I posted about her in a past post. Alcohol addiction, liver failure and then it taxed the kidneys too much, she went into cardiac arrest at 9 am and they could not save her. She was 51. Sad day for sure. Feels odd that she is no longer here. I just wish she could have had a better future.

I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times. It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?

Anybody here have a Canon R and thinking about the R6 Mk 2? I'm debating. Biggest negative for me is the drop from the 30 mp sensor down to the 24 mp sensor. I don't do alot of "action" photography so many of the enhanced R6 features won't get used alot. I don't do video.

I think ISO is better in the R6 Mk 2. I do miss the joystick on my old 7D. IS seems greatly improved.
