Tips for returning to work post-sickness? Whole family has been juggling RSV, flu, and Covid for awhile and I’m trying to get back to work and feel a lot of anxiety about it. I lateraled a few months ago, so I’m still on a high learning curve and don’t know the best way to approach getting back into a rhythm. I WFH, fwiw, but haven’t clocked in for almost a week due to all the illness, hospital and urgent care visits, etc.

I manage 2 physician practices and one is extremely toxic. To the point the dr sides with staff even when I am trying to make corrective actions when patient care is in jeopardy. My leadership is aware and knows I am keeping my distance from them. Just doing the necessary work to keep them producing. How do you handle this? It’s been extremely stressful and harmful to my ptsd anxiety and depression.

I have a looming sense of self hatred. I take medication I workout and do all the things to feel good, but it’s just stuck there. When you’ve put in a lot of hard-work as a developer on a great project and received the best performance award but compensation has been same since Day 1…and have completed 2 years in the company. I didn't apply for a job that would have set me up for the future in the government. I wouldn't have to worry about money or future jobs. My boss had just given me a small pay rise and talked up the future and so I felt good.
