I have my DNP (Doctor in Nursing Practice) in Organizational Leadership, has anyone seen anyone with this degree in healthcare consulting, and how leverage is the degree or should I just pursue a MBA

I slipped up with health insurance this year. My company started offering us a 100% employer paid option, they’ve become pretty popular over the last 2 years. Basically you have health, dental, and vision at no cost. If you are young and healthy it’s a great option. So I signed up. Problem is, it’s actually expensive as hell LOL.

Gotas 3 job offers, (1) senior consultant at a big 4 in the life sciences and Healthcare team in Duabi, (2) senior consultant at TMT strategy boutique and (3) manager at an investment banking that want to develop an M&S practice (develop a sales strategy, find clients, and coordinate with all team - currently they do all but M&A. Beside money, is very similar in all tree, and both industries interest me and like them. Any suggestions how to take a decision thinking in a long term?

Does per diem only get paid of I claim through receipts or is it like a day allowance? New to consulting so trying to figure out if it will be worth taking on site role.

Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate. Just one rejection after another, even when applying with internal referrals from Director or Partner levels. What am I doing wrong?

What dollar amount do you get matched into your company 401k? My company just announced I’ll get $2,000 for 2023

Just joined a consulting firm for a month and a great opportunity that I cannot pass by comes. Now, I need to repay my signing bonus. Since it is the same year, do I just minus the tax and plus the 401K amount and repay the firm back or is is the entire amount? Currently in NYC and the offer letter says full amount. But I have seen many post that if repaying in the same year, you just have to repay the net amount (Full Amount - Tax + 401K amount). Need some help! TIA!

Does anyone else feel per diem is too low now? I travel to Denver and am on GPS and each day is $79 or $59.25 on a travel day. First off it’s annoying food is more expensive when traveling but we get less per diem. Second, if you door dash which I think is reasonable in some areas it is easily $30 a meal. Has it always felt like it is low.

Is the KPMG pension plan portable? Or does it stay with the firm after you leave

Currently working in direct patient care, but I have 3 years experience in healthcare operations and administration. I also completed a 2 year communications fellowship in an unrelated industry.

Those who left consulting for industry (specifically healthcare). Are you happy? Are you making more money. Regrets? Pros and cons?

I have spent my first few years out of undergrad working at LS clients doing various strategy projects. I am looking at getting an MBA and trying to pivot into a VC role to focus on early stage companies. Not yet sure my dream role, but would like to focus in the healthcare or life sciences area.

Any suggestions for schools to look at or generalized advice? Not sure if programs like Wharton’s HCM would check this box?
