What do you think is reasonable to ask for salary wise? 4 yoe consulting, 6 yrs total work exp. In DC area (federal projects).

Interviewing with a few different firms for senior consultant level positions. Trying to come in on the higher end of the SC scale but not the responsibilities of manager.

Have an interview with Google for a Program manager role related to supply chain in data center space. My experience is not exactly in supply chain so interested in hearing what can I expect. What are the most pressing problem/trends within SCM that I should be aware of?

About to leave for a new opportunity, and thinking about exit interviews.

I’ve heard that it’s best to keep it diplomatic and maintain good relations long term, but to be honest burn-out, poor WLB, a disappointing enterprise-wide 1st year analyst experience, and a nightmare manager are all reasons why I am leaving.

I genuinely want the firm to reflect on this feedback (and other similar feedback from analysts leaving the firm), but understand the risks.

Should I just keep quiet, or speak up?

Had a final interview today (and went pretty well) and at the end the hiring manager said “I’m sure I’ll be speaking with you soon”.... am I crazy or is this likely good news?

Interviewing at EY for a Manager role at about $200k… it’s a bit insane all the interview hoops you have to jump though especially at a higher comp role . Video interview, an interview “super day,” my god I’m not that desperate.

Where are folks mostly exiting to? I was hired as an experienced manager and I have been thinking about moving back to the industry. It’s been really hard adjusting to the Covid schedule with family and kids. I am looking for a change but also scared to start the process of looking and interviewing. Just venting folks! 😔

Is it a good sign that the hiring manager mentioned next steps and asked about timeline immediately after the final round interview? I only just completed the final round interview today so I know it’s too soon. They said I would hear back in a day or two. I’m anxious so looking for some external validation from 🐠

Thoughts on when applying for a product manager role and then the recruiter tells you they truly want to bring in someone who has product experience and so they flip your process to customer success manager? The CSM at this company makes 17% less than what my current base is..I really like the company, product and idea of stock options but taking that much of a pay cut doesn’t seem worth it to me. Any thoughts appreciated

Have completed technical and Manager round interview in Barclays and yet to receive feedback to proceed with HR interview. But I received mail asking for documents and expected CTC. Do it mean I got selected? Will they reject if the CTC I asked is beyond there budget as holding an offer for 8LPA.

Quoted CTC - 12.2 L to 13.2 LA

Just had last interview with hiring manager, and she said “It’s been great getting to know you. The recruiter will be back in touch.” Bad sign? Wouldn’t HR be the one getting in touch???? 😭

Levels in tech. Is a staff program manager/ engineer/ product manager a higher level? I always thought staff was an associate level ( referring to EY) . Kept applying to staff roles no wonder never got calls 🙄

The interviewer asked me to send in my salary expectation before we talk. This is a little bit challenging to me. Talk numbers.
The position ask for at least 4 years experience. I have 6.
I want to ask for a fair amount because I do think I can bring much value to the company.
Also don’t want to compromise just because I’m out of work at the moment. Do you guys have a suggestion ? TIA!!!

How do I go about moving to another consulting firm with the manager role? I keep getting passed up even though all the tangibles for my practice, and the roles I’ve interviewed for as a manager at other firms have dinged me for not being experienced in the different I’ve been considered for. Any experienced insight?

I’m in the process of interviewing for a company as a Finance Manager. While researching I found articles from Oct 2020 suggesting that the parent company is looking to sell. New rumors last week suggest it’s going to be sold to a direct competitor since the competitor is moving HQ to my city. Is it a bad idea to join the company over these rumors? Can I ask about rumors in the final interview round?
