I am interviewing for a senior financial analyst position and the recruiter says they’re getting ready to make me an offer. I am not very familiar with the company and there’s not a lot of info available about them. Should this be a red flag for me or is it common to jump into an unknown company?

I'm currently a programmatic analyst in NYC, but soon I will start my Master in Business Analytics this fall.
I have a few concerns, and would love to have your thoughts!
1. Will the school name matter when you apply for a job in analytics field.
2. With an MSBA degree, can I still apply for data scientist position? If yes, how should I start building my portfolio.
3. Your thoughts of data science/analytics opportunities in adtech/programmatic field?

Got an interview tomorrow for a sr. Analyst position. Any tips? Currently a senior in TAS / FDD.

New-ish to Chicago and looking to pivot into management/strategy consulting (tier 2 to boutique). I have an MBA and an MIM (international 🇫🇷)and a little experience in consulting. I have an initial interview with PwC SF practice, Techno Functional analyst position. Interview is for 30 minutes. Interviewer is senior manager analyst. What should I expect? Culture fit questions or Technical? Any other pointers? Interview is this week.

Advice on getting an entry level data analyst role? 2 years of work experience, only analytics I do are using excel and in-house software.

No experience w Tableau/SQL but very knowledgeable in them. Learning Python now as well

Can any EY fish provide insight on the role “Data Analyst - Tech Consulting Staff”? Is this a good fit for someone with 1.5 YOE?

What’s the downside of leaving FDD for a Corporate finance role? (I.e Sr Financial analyst). It sounds like everyone talks up leaving for Corp dev, while Corp finance is made out to be lowest tier exit.

MBB Associate / Consultant (4 YOE, 2 post MBA) in India. Spent 2 years at my firm and would make manager / PL end of next year. Have an offer for an 'Analyst' role in Amsterdam for a large consumer goods company's strategy team. The company's great but the role is entry level, which is a little annoying. Any thoughts? Definitely want to exit ASAP and talking to a few other companies - all for Manager level roles. The hook here is Amsterdam + the brand.

1yr experience as a senior analyst doing testing, taking notes and making a few trackers. How can I jump ship and sell this experience to get a pay bump and take advantage of the hiring frenzy and cash grab?

Landed an interview with MBB for a knowledge analyst-aligned role. But I'm concerned that despite being a MBB company w/ 20% higher salary, this may be seen as a step down as I'm currently client facing and the role (as I understand it) would be back office/non-client facing.

Is it even worth interviewing if I'm already concerned, or wait until/if I have an offer?

I just want to know the designation levels in the organisation which position stands on top or below of which one.. For example we have a person1with designation Sr. Analyst and a person2 with Technical Specialist designation. so whose designation will be higher and whose will be lower.

Hi! I received an offer as a financial analyst for $86k base in Seattle (with stock options and bonus, annual income will be ~$110k). However, right now I’m making $115k base comp in SF as senior tax associate. I think H1B doesn’t care about total comp package, just base salary - will it be difficult to transfer the h1b to a lower salary position? Thank you!

Two offers, not sure which to choose. Both in NYC, 4YOE. Any insight would be helpful. Peloton IT business analyst role125k base, 110k equity over 4 years. No bonuses. KPMG senior internal role under data strategy and operations. 122k, 0-7% bonus.

I have just finished my MBA. Got an IT Consultant job in SAP division from campus and joining date is pretty late(July). Also, I'm not satisfied with the role and salary.
I want to look for other jobs but not able to get any interview call through LinkedIn.

What is the biggest different between the analyst and consultant position at Deloitte? Coming in from a boutique consulting firm that’s a little relaxed and was offered C position so concerned that I might not be able to perform well at a bigger and more “traditional” consulting firm.
What’re things I can learn to get to speed before I start?

Compensation check: $3bn AUM fund, recently promoted to a risk Managment/hedge fund role. Daily tasks are researching trends that our fund is exposed to and planning hedges to offset the risk they present. Working over time to start my own P&L. My base is $80k and my bonus this year was $25k. 4 YOE total, but only 2 months in my new role. Prior role was as an analyst. I don’t know where to start comp wise, but $80k base feels really low
