What exit salaries can you expect as late junior partner/ new partner in industry or tech?

MD wanting to break into consulting. Applied to McK via referral 2 weeks ago, still waiting to pass resume screening. Need partner on how to start intense preparation. Done MConsulting prep YouTube videos, cases on McK website and found fishbowl in process of finding direction (joined today) but still feeling lost on direction to really prepare. Any one in similar boat want to connect and work through together? Thank you!

How does Associate Partner role at Gartner Consulting compare to similar roles at other consulting organizations (like IBM, Deloitte, EY or Accenture) ? Trying to evaluate offers and finalize from Publicis (Strategy consulting), EY (Senior Director, Digital Transformation) and Associate Partner (Gartner Consulting)

I want to pursue a partnership role with another firm. However I'm stuck with updating my resume. I've held progressively more responsible roles starting with HR Consultant up to a Practice Manager / Director. How do I change my resume, shifting away from the consulting aspect to partner level responsibilities? Any suggestions for help with this?

I was just promoted to partner at am law 100 firm that I’ve been with for the past 8 years, but suffering from total imposter syndrome/burnout. Billed ~2200 hours for the last 7 years and just spent. Any advice on adjusting to new role and gaining some fresh perspective?

I feel so lost in my career. I have three years of B4 experience (1 year audit, 2 years risk compliance) and I absolutely hate what I do. I’m a high performer yet I have zero motivation. I don’t see myself becoming partner & I also dont see myself being a controller/CFO in industry. I feel like I made the wrong choice but accounting is all I know. Anyone else go thru this? I reached out to a BCG partner through cold email. Without chatting with me, the partner connected me with a recruiter. The recruiter offered to chat and answered any questions I have but didn’t ask too much abt my background. At the end of the conversation, she said something like “lmk when you apply and I will keep an eye out for you. “The partner definitely didn’t put a referral in cuz she still doesn’t know me yet. Should I let a friend of mine at BCG refer me then let the recruiter?

I have two friends working as Associate at McKinsey willing to refer me. One is a close friend, former case partner, working at the office I want to join, and is very likely to give me a strong referral but he just joined the firm 2 months ago. Another friend is not super close but gave me a PEI mock before, she works at a different office (one of the biggest US offices) for abt 2 years, to be promoted to EM soon. She seems to be pretty involved in recruiting. Which one should I go for? Thank u!

Looking for perspective: Did money play a role in evaluating whether someone could be your life partner?

Considering switching as a 5th year from a small litigation practice to transactional role at a different firm. The new firm has stated there will be no litigation. 90% of my current work is cases which a partner is the primary attorney so they will have to figure it out if I leave (I’ll give proper notice). However, I have a small number (10-15) of active cases which are my own. What is the protocol for telling my clients I’m leaving and can’t take them with me?

What is a typical time for an offer to be extended? Had one informal coffee, followed by a Zoom interview with four additional attorneys, and then an in-person interview with the practice head and the hiring partner (who was present at all of these). Talks went very well, and conversation ended with how they just needed to talk to the people responsible for next steps(finance). Last meeting was one week ago. Big firm. Not a posted position so I’m the only candidate. Am I am being impatient?

Help…got a great offer at a tech company (non-FAANG), know several people on the team and they all swear they do not work more than 40 hours/week. I am pretty much guaranteed to get promoted to SM this year. I am burned out and want WLB but am I shooting myself in the foot by leaving right before I get promoted to SM? Need to vent. Applied to D for their an analyst role through campus recruitment. Did great on interviews and the managers & partner liked me.
Ended up being rejected for an analyst role due to being overqualified for having 2.5 of PWE as an analyst in a different industry. Recruiter argued back, but losing battle against the top guns. Any advice as far as titles to go for post graduation in June

I'm a B4 Advisory/Consulting Director. I know for a fact I will never make Partner, but I'm well regarded and in my role feel zero up or out pressure. I make very good, but not spectacular money. I work hard but it is eminently manageable. It's a really good gig and I like what I do but sometimes I feel restless.

Deciding between OC&C Associate Consultant or Oliver Wyman Senior Consultant?

The base salaries offered are the same.

~ 2 YOE, want to be a career consultant to become a Partner, which firm offers the best pathway (i.e. growth, both personal and firm), benefits in the long-term and exit around EM level (to MBB). No particular interest in one sector yet.
