Is moving from Senior Consultant title to Product Manager title a lateral / backwards move? Job description for PM role says 2-5 years experience, yet I have 5.5 in consulting (albeit not in a product environment). I want to work more with technology so I am looking forward to PM role, but not sure how it will be viewed from the outside as I look to grow my career down the line.

Anyone know of Cyber Security / Operational Resilience jobs coming up that are not currently posted on LinkedIn as well as comp info for SA/SC? Know Cap Invent is hiring hard, any other firms?

Got contacted for a Deloitte Analytics & Cognitive SC role. Any pointers to interview rounds/prep and approximate salary range? I am at 126k currently, so I would assume 150k for SC would sound reasonable?

I see job posts from consulting firms looking for senior analysts/associates and the requirements are calling for 1-3 years of investment banking experience.

Specific example: guidehouse has a “financial analyst - senior consultant” position available on LinkedIn calling for 1-3 years IB. This has got to be a dream requirement right? Do IB analysts making $150k+ really leave to make half? Just seems like these positions would never get filled to me

Offered $172k for a Manager role in Tier 1 market. Seems low. Making $168k at Deloitte as a SC but making the move because I like the KPMG team better. Just wondering what the manager pay range is and whether my offer was low.

Generally, should consultants wait to be promoted to senior consultants before pursuing an exit? What is the trade off of exiting before SC?

Can anyone provide some info on the differences between senior consultant and manager at Capgemini? Comp, YOE, responsibilities etc. Glassdoor has got overlap on salaries and role descriptions for open roles aren’t giving much detail on levels.

Hi fishes, in a dilemma....switched to a Big4 from MNC(almost 7 years of exp) in April 2020. The pay was normalised at 15.5LPA. Will get the package revised next month to 16.25 LPA. Now Deloitte has approached, so can I ask for 30%pay hike considering the switch will happen after completing almost 11-12 months in my current organization or can I ask for more than 30%, depending if I get a senior consultant or manager role? Also will the switch within a year have any negative impact?

Looking to move from Deloitte (Analytics & Cognitive) to smaller, cloud focused boutique consultancy. Going from SC @ 95k to their equivalent consultant role at 110k both incl super. Tried to nego higher but they won't budge. I feel job content-wise it might be a bit more challenging & interesting but don't know if the pay increase is worth the risk. I've been performing ahead of track and possibly up for promotion in June at D. Really don't know what to do...

Any tips on approaching Written Assessments for experienced hires at Deloitte? Interviewing for a Senior Consultant role in London.

I received a verbal offer for a senior consultant position with Deloitte’s Risk and Financial Advisory for GPS but was also told that the position would be tied to a USDC. I am based in the DC area and was told that I could be hired to a delivery center during the interview process since they are remote. Is anyone else in a similar situation? Would I receive Deloitte advisory benefits or the USDC benefits?

Accepted an offer for a senior consultant position but I’m regretting accepting it so quickly as I should’ve asked for a manager title. Is there anyway to politely ask for them to consider a title change or even a mid year promotion? I haven’t started yet.

I was offered a SC role at 125k base. I have a competitive offer for 135k TC.
I told my recruiter that I have a competitive offer & can’t accept the D’s unless it’s 140k base given their benefits. Recruiter came back with 130k. This recruiter has lied to the hiring manager that I accepted the offer even before sending me the offer letter( called Hiring Manager) Process took 3 months.
My Q is - recruiters at D have leverage to raise the compensation and generate a new offer letter?

Hello Friends, need a suggestion/guidance.

I am working with Accenture (ATCI) as TL (LeveL 9) and is being offered a position of Senior Consultant (Level 4) in EY.
Total work experience is 10 years and post MBA work ex is 6 years.

Besides that, for CTC calculation, they are not considering my variable part (which is 18.65%) in ATCI and offering 20-25% on fixed part.

Is it worth the switch ? Any suggestions or inputs.

A recruiter reached out. I am an SC at D and so it would be one level up. And they say that as an internal (strategic?) role with people management, it'd have high visibility with leadership at BAH.
But I have no idea whether internal roles are seen as a backwater of some kind relative to client facing stuff. They say there's no bureaucratic thing that separates me into a different talent group from consulting.

So I’m up for manager. My coach, reviewers, and leaders I’ve worked with have all supported my promotion, but my coach told me she has no idea what promotions will look like/who will be promoted due to market downturn, etc. I’m sure I’m not alone in this (she is up for SM), but I’m torn. If I get promoted and get a measly raise, then I’m playing catch up until I leave the firm. If I don’t get promoted, then I spend another year doing M work with SC title. Anyone in similar position? Thoughts?

Booz Allen reached out for a "Solutions Architect, Lead" role related to data science. 8+ YOE is a basic qualification. Definitely not an individual contributor role.
How does this correlate with the C/SC/A/LA/VP levels? And any idea on pay range?

Would this be a good step toward more management roles? He hasn’t got a lot of Cyber experience but wants to potentially break in and use this as a stepping stone

I received an offer for 30k more than I’m making now at Deloitte for Cyber Risk.. what’s the main reason Advisory is a bad choice? Is a Senior Consultant role in this practice a bad place to be from a career growth perspective? I don’t understand the practice structure and am unsure if I’m being misled. I also don’t want to be doing only security assessments, if that’s what the work is like. 😅
