Senior manager in the Workday Consulting space with 7 years experience. Experience is primarily functional Workday HCM with a little bit of program management and also internal leadership roles. Looking to exit consulting in near future. Base is 200k in Texas. Criteria is - more money, less work, not related to Workday, mostly remote. What kind of roles and companies would you be targeting? Sick of both consulting w the internal work + client and talking about Workday. Happy to study up.

Would love some input on interviewing. Have two back-to-back interviews scheduled later this week for a senior manager-type role. I’ve got about 15 years of experience so I’d guess I’d classify myself as mid-career. Am I reading into things too much if the folks I’ll be interviewing with are both like 2-3 years out of undergrad??

Wanted to get FB thoughts on two offers:

1.) Series C start-up: Director, 210k base, 9-13% annual bonus paid out every month starting from join date, 50k equity, 10k Signing bonus TC: 250k.

Pro: love the people, easier to impact, mission-driven
Con: start-up growing pains; 30k less than other

2.) Public Tech: SM of Strat; 200k base, no annual bonus; 250k equity over 4 years, 20k signing TC: 280k

Pro: 30k more comp, bigger name, defined role
Con: Unsure about fit; harder to stand-out

Hey all! Anyone know what the AMEX band/level hierarchy is compared to Deloitte? Conscious it varies based on team and geography but generally speaking is a M/SM at AMEX akin to a C/SC at Deloitte? Experienced SC here applying for the M/SM at AMEX and it's starting to feel like the AMEX role is way more junior than my current one at Deloitte as far as responsibilities, pay, etc. Thanks!

Best practices for a graceful exit? B4 audit SM here thinking about making an exit this summer - dreading the uncertainty that comes with starting something new after being with the firm since graduation, but more so than that feeling anxious about having to tell my clients, partners and teams. I know they’ll be ok without me, but it still feels weird because I have zero experience leaving a job.

Starting to plan my exit and am so confused as to how to start. SC at Deloitte, 6 yrs of technical Salesforce experience, but the last year was in non-dev roles (PM, tech lead, functional lead, etc). Do I shoot for manager/senior manager/director/avp roles? Any help would be appreciated!

Considering leaving Bain with 2 years in SM role, HSW MBA, and 11 years since undergrad. Google role is non-technical Cloud Strategy. Unsure of title or level at this point - called "lead" but contact indicated flexibility. Would be remote in a non-SF/NY location. Mgr indicated it was technically an individual contributor role though I would be managing 2 people.

What comp/level should I expect (Assuming L6?)?

Secured 750 (Q:49, V:42) in GMAT. Targeting to apply for EMBA in 1-2 years. 9 YOE. Current role: Senior Manager. Target universities: M7, INSEAD and LBS. Question is, for GMAT exam I just focused on Q & V part, and skipped IR & AWA part (IR: 1 & AWA: 3). Now does it make sense to reattempt with a focus on other parts and risk 750 scores, or you think it’s not needed, as for EMBA’s GMAT score is not the only deciding factor and 750 score is enough for most universities irrespective of IR & AWA.

Have offers from Firm A (5k employees 1B revenue) & Firm B (2k employees 200M revenue) to come in as a senior manager and create/build a new, niche tax practice similar to what I played a pivotal role in building at a B4. My biggest issue at B4 has been the big firm BS (hard to get things approved, slow moving, high performers not rewarded appropriately). What’s the right balance between the resources/client base of a larger firm and the autonomy/pay of a smaller firm? How small is too small?

Finally I have 2 offers to get out of this place. Both new roles are a step up and pay the same in federal space. One is a very small company doing a traditional SM of PMs role, non sdlc pmo work. Other is a large company as a Program Manager, overseeing a staff of ~25 doing sdlc- some agile.

I eventually want to go big tech for an IC role. I feel like the smaller company position is more aligned with IC role. My only scare is I will be out of touch on emerging tech and practices.

Ok guys help, got an offer from EY FAAS for Senior Manager role to be under their AWM practice - freaking out a little hearing hours are awful.

Currently an Associate Manager (which is the level below Manager in ACN Tech) and applied for a Manager role at big4. I have 7.5 YOE. I’ve completed all interview stages already. The salary I’m demanding is too high so they are considering offering SM after I come back for another interview. Bad move or good opportunity?

Applying for a Product Owner position at a Pharma company for one of their Salesforce orgs, which is my long term goal. However, the position is at M level and high end of salary band is $160k base, which is the level/base I’m at now.
