Just got laid off. New to freelance. Want to be freelance at least for a year. No idea where to start. Hoping all of experienced fish can help. Don’t need insurance, going through my spouse. Best home office chair? Budget $300ish.

Would love if it could lean back because I like to lean back when I think lol. Must swivel, of course. Good back support and a head rest would be nice. Arm rests that can be flipped up or down is a nice feature because sometime I like to sit cross-legged in my chair, but not a deal-breaker. MCM aesthetic design a plus.

My $40 chair from Amazon isn’t cutting it. Ready to splurge considering cost per use and comfort!!!

I have a set that I use for my current computer, which is a Lenovo thinkpad, but not sure it will be compatible. Itna pasand hai kya logo ko office jaake boss ko company dena? Uske PJ pe hasna? Office chair pe baith baith ke apne health ki bajana? Canteen ka bekar khaana kha na? Apne kaamchor colleague ko apne aankho ke saamne timepass karte hue boss ko makhan marte hue dekhna?

Like seriously, khudka ghar aur ghar wala itna naadte hai kya jo bhag jaana hai roz subeh subeh? Traffic zhelna hai? Ola Uber ka bitching karna hai?

Work from home has been great for many reasons, but the confession part of this post is how much a loud, disorganized, chaotic environment raises my stress levels. I’ve realized that I can be so much more productive in a quiet home office. But I know some people like the “energy” of a corporate office.

Related question: Do any of you wear noise canceling headphones, and if so, does that work to increase productivity?

Has anyone used a virtual assistant?
My practice pivoted hard during covid.
I used to travel 60,000 miles a year to meet clients. Now it's mostly virtual from my home office. I have clients choose virtual who live closer to my office than I do.
What is your experience and what do you have them do?

What is the main benefit working in tech (regardless of position) in your opinion? (free food, wlb, pay, healthcare coverage, PTO, expense at home office setup, free gym access, etc)

Building a home office from scratch and looking to get a couple of 27 inch monitors. What are the pros and cons of a curved monitor? I have never used one.

Living in NJ and may be able to choose NYC as my home office. People who live in NJ can choose NJ / NYC office, which one did you choose?

NJ office: no NYC tax, don't have to file 2 state return. Live in NJ so auto assigned to NJ office currently.

NYC office: NYC tax on paycheck, easier commute, possibly higher pay?
