What’s the current WFH model @Merck ? Are they doing a hybrid schedule? How many days?

Hi everyone! In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

I’m currently working in a DEI role but have some interest in switching to Employee Relations. Anyone in ER that can share pros/cons of the field?

How do you all maximize the little free time you have? Any tips on achieving “work life balance,” to whatever extent that’s possible in big law?

Is there a huge difference in workload between V50 firms and a smaller national/larger regional firm? I realize this is highly specific to each firm but want to know if there is a pervasive trend.

If you despise work, remember that you are far too intelligent/valuable to spend another second doing something you hate. There are so many opportunities out there for you, in the law or elsewhere!

Is there any resources someone can point me to about the potential legal issues and more information from an HR perspective about contingent employees (temps, contract workers, part-time workers) versus normal FTE’s?

Advice on managing up / enduring toxic deal teams? I’m at the point where my stomach drops any time I see something come in from certain people. Everything is behind, client is unhappy, I’m exhausted and simultaneously being micromanaged without guidance on big-picture/substantive issues. I keep trying to tell myself at least this is consulting and the project will be over... eventually...

I work for a small consulting in AZ and this is my first time assisting intern recruitment. We offer $31.25/ hour and we are getting questions left and right about housing stipends from out-of-state candidates.

Got a job offer with a lower base salary but a guaranteed bonus structure that puts me ahead of my current pay at the end of each year. Has anyone moved to a position with a compensation structure like this? Was it hard to adjust when it came to your monthly finances?

Recently I got invited to an interview with a decent growing company. I work in Executive Search and I am thinking of switching to in-house recruiting. During the conversation the recruiter made some weird assumptions about my current job. The interview took longer than expected and I feel like I have not delivered well. Was I wrong to expect in-house recruiter to understand the differences and similarities between in-house-recruiting, professional search and retained executive search?

How to respond to the “why are you looking to switch careers?” Question. Have a background as a mfg engr but have an interview for a software QA position . I applied because the company culture and benefits are hard to beat. software QA was the closest position I qualify for.

The consumer electronics division in my company needs creative management/direction for a team of packaging designers, well probably more than that really. But there design team is not very organized or reliable because of their control freak owner, who is very indecisive, and probably micro-managing.
