You'd have a decent chance at becoming an HR Specialist. You're probably already super aware of the onboarding process. Way less recruiting obviously and more onboarding and management involved. Good luck in your new search!
As a former Learning & Development exec, we were always looking to our recruiting teams for potential individuals to come over and assist with onboarding (Orientations, new hire mentors, etc.) initiatives since they were so familiar with the hiring experience. It was a great way for those in TA to transition full time into L&D or at least learn more.
I think this would be such a good fit, great idea F1! I think there's a lot of cool initiatives you can do on the L&D side and I'd imagine it would be more rewarding as well
Do what you feel most comfortable doing. Personal happiness and comfort is essential
Totally agree. This would be my advice as well. With all the things happening right now, might as well do/choose the things that will make us happy :)
HR Generalist. You can always check out online courses and certs
Have you considered career development in higher education? I have a lot of peers who transitioned back and forth between being a career advisor to students or a recruiter. In fact, I did so myself!
