The only advice I can give you is to quit. It doesn't get better. This person is in charge so they don't have to answer to anyone and don't have a reason to change

What makes you think the CEO doesn't care about DEI? The executive team may be reluctant to be transparent about diversity initiatives, for legal reasons.

I know that our CEO doesn’t care about DEI, because he has said that, he has cut the budget, he has cut headcount, and he refuses to support any of our initiatives.

Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! My company is in need of a update online, could use your opinions! We need to better showcase our culture (caring, supportive, fun, intelligent IT industry leaders) as well as diversity. We are predominantly white still but making strides to improve here. What’s the best way to approach? How do you deal with your “mentor” being threatened by your performance and gatekeeping information from you? Then turning around and giving you shit for not knowing things… but they don’t tell you anything and there is no way for you to know.
