I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

I take a break. No need to infect my free time with negativity, TBH. You’ve gotta give yourself time to just be!
I try not to pay too much attention to the news. It's good to be informed but it gets to a point where I need to exist in my own head without all these things plaguing my mind. I prefer tuning out and making the most out of my time off. I can always catch up with everything come Monday.

I usally take a break from the news on the weekends.
I typically listen to BBC news hour (the morning US show), market place and all things considered every weekday to get a variety of information. On the weekends, I usally only listen to wait wait don't tell me and code switch to keep it light.
I'm obviously an NPR nerd
Not sure if we're talking about work news or in general but I try to stay aligned with the idea that you get out what you put in.
I don't watch the news. I don't stay connected to work drama/gossip. If I hear it, I'm not discussing or spreading it. Unless it has some immediate use in my work or my life, that stuff stays where I found it.
I specifically stay away from the news on weekends unless it's truly something breaking news. There's almost nothing that can't wait until Monday and I think it's a progressive myth that staying informed 100% of the time is a good thing! It's not!
