Yes you need to track calories. In general, a caloric deficit is needed to lose weight. Calculate your Base Metabolic Rate (BMR - the amount of calories your body burns doing nothing) using an online calculator and then set a intake deficit. You’ll lose weight this way with or without Keto. Keto just helps to speed the process some. I use Cronometer, which is a great app for Keto because it tracks net vs total carbs for you.
