What are your thoughts about someone willing to pursue SAP consulting as a career ? Oracle and SAP are standard ERP systems in Fortune/Big companies so even if one joins and learns in 2-3 yrs what are the growth opportunities in SAP ? I do recognize that there are a lot of advanced planning systems out there but in reality is it fair to assume that one can easily plateau off in 5 yrs from a career progression standpoint?SAP Oracle o9 Solutions Blue Yonder Kinaxis Inc.

I transferred from private to public when I was growing up, switched at grade 7. Initially, the change was very difficult, but I ended up being very happy for the change.
I switched from private to public in 10th grade. It was a disaster. My brother switched from private to public in 9th grade and it was a train wreck. But i think it depends on the size. We went to small private schools, and the public high school had more than 2,000 kids!! That was the hardest part. I think if our town had a small high school we would have been generally fine
I switched from private to public in 7th grade. I hated my private school. The public school was definitely a bit of a culture shock, but I'm grateful to have switched in 7th grade to give me a bit of a buffer before heading off to my 4k+ person public high school. That would have been a much more difficult transition from my 500 person private school. I'm glad my parents switched me over from private to public...it better prepared me for the real world.
My kids went from public to private and back to public.
My biggest piece of advice is to check out the curriculum of the schools you are considering switching from and to. Mine were a little behind when then went from public to private and a little ahead when they went from private to public.
