Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

I guess I’ll add here that my manager has a lot on her plate, and the majority of my colleagues need more handholding than me. Perhaps I should ask how to get my manager to prioritize my asks
The senior leadership’s sentiment on the SE team is heavily driven by how the AEs/AVP/RVPs feel about their SE support. Perhaps that’s what your manager is focused on at the moment. However, if you don’t get what you need from your leader to perform well in terms of resources and support, that will impact the ACV and everything would just fall in her face. I would just come up with a feedback that’s very specific and actionable and have a conversation.
