Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

Most of the time I'm more bothered by the job description. That's where you find the cheesy rhetoric and unrealistic expectations. Companies are typically pretty good at explaining their overall values and mission, less so at describing various roles.

I find a lot of job adverts very repetitive and non descript, but that's all you can go on really!
I don't spend a huge amount of time researching companies I apply to, but I do make an effort to be reasonably up on their work. It's not difficult to find out a lot about a company in a fairly short time. You can scan the company's web site, get their earnings reports if you're energetic, and check to see what articles have been published about them, all in about a half hour. If you add a little extra time you can read the Glassdoor reviews also.

I do a little website browse and Glassdoor research, never thought about pushing it further than that
I have never been interested in a company I have applied. Have to spray and pray.

Dont try then you don't succeed hahaha

I spend as much time as needed and I find everything i need to succeed in the interview. I will expore their website then go look at reviews on glass door and then go to the interview section. Never hurts to be prepared. That’s if time permits.

Yep I definitely do similar when it comes to interview preparation.

Job description mostly.
Company research usually comes an hour before the interview.

I suppose there isn't much point researching before you know if there's an interview on the cards!

I usually spend more time on the company than the role. Roles change quickly, but culture, leadership behaviour, and financial stability matter longer.

That's a great point actually, I hadn't considered that.
