How to deal with the never ending exhaustion? Started consulting at the age of 33, and 20 years later chronically tired and impacting my motivation/drive both professionally and personally. Help!

PTO doesn’t help. I’ve taken 2 weeks off and About two weeks after returning from PTO, I’m right back where I started

Deloitte can do that to you - with due respect. On another note, have you looked at opportunities in the industry? That could be an option. When you reach a certain point of exhaustion - consulting ( especially the big 4 kind) is not viable. And why should you even try to make it “work “.

Are you a Partner?

Exercise usually helps me a lot!

I feel you. I finally stopped traveling after 20 years on the road. And, I also got stuck at Director. I was able to transfer to a group/location that does mostly local work, but I think moving to industry is the way to go now.

Starting Intermittent Fasting meets elimination diet meets 40 days meat+veggie+fruit diet in consultation with a nutritionist + a lifestyle change program.

I'm not used to IF and had coffee with coconut oil this morning. Thought I was going to pass out since I waited until 11 to eat.

Thinking about adjusting starting to eat at 9:30/10 tomorrow instead.

No questions, just this is going to be something new to get used to.

Dry skin on your hands after taking stimulants for a while? Anyone get this? Or maybe because of washing hands after going toilet so many times because of drinking loads of water lol

Stimulants and sweating! I’m going back to the office and never used them while in the office, I don’t want to look or be sweaty haha any advice? I also don’t want to look weird drinking 6L of water as I do in person

It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. I know I’m not alone that people don’t want to return to the office. My ADHD and the open office just makes working from the office a nightmare and I’m feeling really nervous and kind of resentful.

Yesterday my younger brother called me looking for good hidden swimming spots in the mountains. He was up there with a bunch of friends and their original plans had fallen apart hard. And I go much more often than he does.

I told him I had map pins that are EXACTLY what you need for these hard to find places. I can send them in 10 mins when I get home.

Reply? Forget it, I'm all set.

Yep, 10 mins is too long. Here I was expecting "Wow! That's fantastic!" How silly of me.
