Stick to <20 carbs a day to get started
Have you measured yourself? I lose inches before lbs. crazy but true
Two options:
a.) count everything — make sure things have the carbs / calories you think
b.) intermittent fasting (8 hours of eating, 16 hours not)
Beyond that, keep in mind that if you’re working out, muscle weighs more and will also hang onto water. If you’re a lady fish, you might need more than two weeks to discern a trend — hormones are wild.
Different people respond in different ways, especially if you have or are prone to metabolic syndrome it could take longer. Just be patient and keep fighting through. Once you start burning the fat you will be very motivated to continue the fight
Keep carb less than 23g.
My success story of 213 to 181 lb. my target is 165-170
The only thing I can think of is too much protein. Eating plenty of fat, very low carbs. Honestly I might back to eating healthy balanced meals as that’s the only thing that has worked for weight loss for me
Try implementing a intermittent fasting routine to your eating habits. 16 hour fasting windows, with lots of black coffee and water.
Make sure you’re actually in Ketosis—measure your blood
Count all your macros. If you are not getting them right you won’t see results (at least 70% of your calories from fat, etc.)
Keto does work
Try the following macro calculator before giving up → http://learn.kissmyketo.com/keto-calculator/
Have you figured out your macros and sticking to them?
Yep I'm counting my macros which says to stay under 23g carbs per day. The urine strips say I'm in ketosis, haven't tested my blood yet. Thanks!
Are you eating enough fat? Are you eating too much protein? Keto is not (just) a low-carb diet
Make sure you are exercising and running a caloric deficit. Even on Keto, if you are eating more calories than you are using you won’t drop weight.
I tried a few calculators but didn’t start losing until I found the Ketogains calculator
