Are you hiring for HRBP or HR Manager?

Recruiting coordinator in NYC - new salary starting in Jan will be 72k, current now is 64390). Getting promoted to campus program manager end of Jan.. Will be at 91k plus about 5k bonus. I think it seems fair for the area?

likesmartuplifting

Hi, to the two earning 75 and 80k in tech as RC: I’m also a rc in tech but started off at 60k and they bumped me up 7% instead of 3% for merit increase because supposedly of the market research, to pay me at a more fair rate (so now about 64k). But I know the salary for the role in nyc in tech is at the rates you both have, esp also because I’ve been interviewing. So I’m still underpaid. Should I talk to my manager again ? Any advice on how to discuss? Been here for over a year now with current manager for 6months, with prior 6 months rc exp and prior 3 years of HR coordination.

I started at that much and within 6 months I was able to bump it to 48 and then a year later 55. Make sure you sit down with your boss and talk about your achievement and their effects. “ Ex.) In the last 8 months, I’ve been working on the processing of reviews and due to the new process I’ve implemented, I have been able to save the company $20,000 in retro pay” granted you don’t always get that data but if you can use it toward your advantage. You can always compare your role to the existing market and openings

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. There are so many major issues in this company that I don’t know if I want to subject my mental health to this degree of toxicity. I just don’t know how to move forward from here.

I strongly believe new hire onboarding should not sit in the HR/People Operations space but should sit in the HR Coordinator/HR Generalist space. As a new hire, they should be able to have a confirmed point of contact especially during their first 90 days and People Ops should not be that point of contact unless there’s system or access issues.
